The LD30R (R = Rechargeable) has an integrated USB-C charging port directly on the lamp. With the older LD30, the battery had to be removed for charging or a battery with its own USB port was used. In addition, the maximum output has been slightly increased to 1700 lumens.Where is the charging port?The USB-C port is cleverly hidden under the neck of the lamp. You need to loosen (unscrew) the lamp head slightly to expose the port. After charging, screw it back on to maintain waterproofness.Can I operate the torch with batteries?Yes, in an emergency or as a backup you can use two CR123A lithium batteries in the lamp.
