Eisemann
The Eisemann HSE 7 LED (manufactured by Metallwarenfabrik Gemmingen) is a legendary high-performance hand-held spotlight, specially designed for use in the most extreme conditions. As fully explosion-proof (ATEX) equipment, it is the standard equipment for many fire brigades, rescue services and in the chemical industry.Equipped with the latest 3-watt high-performance LED technology, this spotlight literally turns night into day. In contrast to conventional halogen spotlights, the HSE 7 LED impresses with an extremely long lamp life (over 50,000 hours) and an extremely robust, maintenance-free lead fleece battery that delivers constant power even during hours of use.Highlights at a glanceCertified ATEX protection: Strictly tested and approved for hazardous zones 1, 2, 21 and 22. Absolutely safe in handling gases and dusts.Flexible illumination: The head can be swivelled by a total of 190° (100° forwards, 90° backwards), ideal for precision illumination at work or as an area light.Multiple lighting modes: Offers a powerful main light (continuous light), a switchable flashing light for safety, and an extremely energy-saving secondary light (emergency function) for maximum autonomy.Enormous endurance: The powerful lead fleece battery provides more than 8 hours of operation in main light mode and up to 30 hours with the secondary light.Ergonomic housing: The shatterproof and grippy plastic housing is protected to IP66 against strong jets of water and dust, and can be easily operated with thick protective gloves.Intelligent charging technology: The charge readiness indicator and integrated deep discharge protection prevent battery damage. Charging is performed outside the Ex zone in a (separately available) charging station.Fields of applicationThe Eisemann HSE 7 LED is primarily found in professional and critical infrastructures:Fire & rescue services: As a primary hand-held spotlight for searching for people, at traffic accidents or fire operations (ATEX protection).Chemical & petrochemical: Inspection of tanks, refineries and production plants where explosive gases or vapours may occur.Sewers & sewage treatment: Lighting of shafts in compliance with Ex protection requirements (e.g. fermentation gases).Industry & energy suppliers: Maintenance work in power plants, gas control systems or silos (dust explosion protection).Assembly & safety instructionsCharge only in a safe area: Charging the spotlight in the designated charging station (e.g. LS HSE 7 LED) must never take place in explosive atmospheres.Use front discs: For special uses in traffic or fog, orange (often included), red or green front discs can be placed on the lamp head.Avoid deep discharge: Although the electronics provide protection, the lead fleece battery should always be returned to the charging station immediately after each longer use. The system supports gentle continuous charging (maintenance charge).Inspection: ATEX equipment must undergo regular visual and functional inspections by qualified persons for industrial use. Damaged housings or cracked lenses immediately revoke explosion protection! The hand-held spotlight (HSE 7 LED) and the charging station (LS HSE 7 LED) are often sold separately by dealers or as part of special bundles. Pay close attention to the item description when purchasing. The charging station can often be used with both 12V/24V (vehicle) and 230V mains power. What’s the difference between the HSE 7 LED and the HS 7 LED?The "E" stands for explosion protection (ATEX). The HS 7 LED looks almost identical and offers the same excellent lighting performance and ergonomics, but has no ATEX certification. It is cheaper and intended for normal industrial and security services where there is no explosive atmosphere. Can I replace the battery myself if it is faulty after years?According to the manufacturer and strict ATEX guidelines, repairs and battery replacement on explosion-protected lights may generally only be carried out by the manufacturer or authorised, certified specialist workshops, so as not to jeopardise the guarantee of explosion protection (tightness and intrinsic safety).
The Eisemann Charging Station LS HSE 7 LED (or LS HS 7 LED) is the indispensable accessory to always keep your explosion-protected portable searchlight ready for use and safely stored. It functions not only as an intelligent charger but also as an extremely robust wall and vehicle mount. This station is specially matched to the internal lead-fleece battery of the 7 series headlamps (HSE 7 LED, HS 7 LED as well as the older halogen models). With its flexible input voltage, it integrates seamlessly into the on-board networks of emergency vehicles or into the regular 230V domestic network. The microprocessor-controlled charging electronics guarantee maximum service life of the headlamp battery.Highlights at a glanceMulti-voltage compatibility: The charging station can be flexibly operated on 230V mains voltage (in buildings) or on 12V/24V on-board voltages (fire engines, trucks, cars).Microprocessor-controlled charging technology: Ensures optimal, gentle charging of the lead-fleece battery and automatically switches to trickle charge once the battery is full (overcharge protection).Vibration-proof vehicle mounting: The housing also serves as a secure vehicle mount. The headlamp locks firmly in place and withstands the extreme vibrations and centrifugal forces of emergency vehicles.Optical charge control: Integrated LEDs clearly indicate the current operating and charging status (charging, full, fault) at a glance.Compact & robust design: Space-saving and impact-resistant design, which can be easily mounted in the tight equipment rooms of modern fire-fighting vehicles or on narrow workshop walls.Fields of applicationEmergency vehicles (BOS): Fixed installation in fire, THW or rescue service vehicles for permanent charging on the 12V/24V vehicle network.Industry & workshops: Wall mounting in supervisor offices, factory halls or control rooms in conjunction with the 230V power supply.Guardrooms & security services: As a permanent supply station for patrols, where the lamp is permanently charged when not in use.Installation & safety instructionsObserve charging location (ATEX): Although the hand-held searchlight (HSE 7) itself is explosion-proof, the charging station does not have ATEX approval. It must never be installed or operated in an area at risk of explosion. Charging must without fail take place in a safe environment!Continuous charging is recommended: The headlamp should remain in the station when not in use. The electronics prevent the battery from boiling over and protect it from damaging sulphation by trickle charging.Vehicle installation: Secure the 12V/24V supply line in the vehicle wiring with a suitable fuse to prevent short circuits or cable fires in the event of a broken wire. Often only the charging base is sold, while the 230V plug-in power supply unit or the vehicle connection cable (with open ends or cigarette lighter plug) have to be chosen separately as accessories. Pay attention to the exact scope of delivery from your dealer.Does the old Eisemann halogen headlamp (HSE 7 without LED) also fit in this station?Yes. The mechanical housing shape of the Eisemann 7 series (HS 7, HSE 7, HS 7 LED, HSE 7 LED) is identical at the bottom. The contacts fit exactly, and the charging electronics for the internal lead-acid battery also reliably charge the older models. How do I know that the battery is fully charged? The charging station has LEDs on the front. As a rule, a red light indicates the active charging process. As soon as this changes to a continuous green light, the battery is full and the station has switched to safe trickle charge mode.
