High-capacity batteries (with over 2000 mAh) are often sensitive to overcharge, deep discharge and temperature fluctuations, and age quickly in certain devices. The HR-AAUC industrial cell with 1200 mAh is designed for extreme robustness, overcharge resistance and thousands of charging cycles. It is a "marathon runner", not a "sprinter".Can I charge this battery in a normal household charger?Conditionally, depending on the design. If you have the flat-top version (without solder tabs), it may be that the extremely flat positive terminal does not make contact in the charger, as normal AA batteries there have a raised contact ("nipple"). These industrial cells are primarily intended to be welded into battery packs or soldered into devices.Does the cell say Sanyo or FDK?Mostly FDK. Sanyo was for a long time the leading developer of these cells. However, the NiMH division of Sanyo was taken over a few years ago by FDK (a subsidiary of Fujitsu). The cells are manufactured on the same machines in the same legendary quality but now usually bear the FDK logo.
