Balcony Power Plant 800W / 920W solar output with 2x JA solar modules (Full Black Glass, 460W) and a NEP BDM800 inverter
The Durasun Balcony Power Plant 800 W with 920 W solar output is a powerful complete set for the simple generation of your own solar power. With two solar modules and an 800-watt microinverter, the set is optimally designed for the feed-in power permitted in Germany for balcony power plants. The high module output of a total of 920 Wp ensures that as much solar energy as possible can be generated even in changing light conditions, cloud cover or non-ideal orientation. The included inverter converts the direct current generated by the modules into standard household alternating current, which can be used directly via the home mains supply.Highlights at a glance800 W feed-in power: Ideal for modern balcony power plants and the maximum use of the statutory power limit.920 W solar output: High module output for strong yields even in less ideal light conditions.Complete set for self-consumption: Generated solar power is used directly in the household and can reduce electricity costs.Microinverter included: Reliably converts the generated direct current into usable alternating current.Easy installation: Suitable for balcony, terrace, garden, garage or flat roof.Weatherproof components: Designed for permanent outdoor use.Efficient solar power use: The higher module output helps to utilise the inverter optimally over longer periods.Areas of applicationThe Durasun Balcony Power Plant 800 W with 920 W solar output is ideal for:Balconies: For simple installation on the balcony railing and direct use of the generated solar power.Terraces & gardens: Perfect for freestanding installation with a suitable bracket.Garages & flat roofs: Ideal for space-saving installation on suitable roof surfaces.Households with base load consumption: Particularly useful for consumers such as fridge, router, standby devices or office electronics.Installation & safety instructionsChoose a suitable installation site: For maximum yields, the solar modules should be aligned with as little shading as possible.Stable mounting: Use a suitable bracket for balcony, roof, wall or ground installation.Check the grid connection: The connection should be made via a suitable outdoor socket. No expansion without inspection: The set is optimised for 800 W output power. Expansion with additional modules or inverters should only be carried out after technical inspection.Behaviour in the event of a power cut: The inverter switches off automatically for safety reasons if there is no mains voltage.Features ProductDurasun Balcony Power Plant 800 W with 920 W solar output Solar output920 Wp Maximum output power800 W System typeBalcony power plant / mini PV system InverterNEP microinverter BDM-800 Solar modules2 x JA Solar JAM54D41-LR 460 W glass-glass full black (N-Type) UseDirect self-consumption in the household Suitable forBalcony, terrace, garden, garage, flat roof Type of currentConversion of direct current into alternating current Scope of delivery1 x NEP microinverter BDM-800 – 800 W for balcony power plants2 x JA Solar JAM54D41-LR – 460 W glass-glass full black (N-Type)2 x solar extension cable 1 m 4 mm² – red/black for solar systems (set)1 x Betteri to Schuko connection cable (5 m) – incl. AK5S-2 plug (IP65)FAQs on the Durasun Balcony Power Plant 800 W with 920 W solar outputWhat does 920 W solar output mean with 800 W output power? The solar modules together deliver a maximum output of 920 Wp. The inverter feeds a maximum of 800 W into the home mains network. The higher module output ensures that the inverter can more often achieve high output even in cloudy conditions, unfavourable orientation or weaker sunlight. Can I supply my entire household with the balcony power plant?A balcony power plant is primarily intended to reduce the base load consumption in the household. It can, for example, support consumers such as fridge, router, lighting, standby devices or office electronics, but it does not replace a large photovoltaic system. What happens in the event of a power cut?In the event of a power cut, the inverter switches off automatically. This is an important safety function so that no electricity is fed into the public grid while work is being carried out on it.Can the set be expanded? The Durasun Balcony Power Plant is designed for an output power of 800 W. Expansion with additional modules or another inverter is not possible without further ado and should be checked in advance both technically and legally.
NEP Micro Inverter BDM-800 - 800W for balcony power plants
The NEP BDM-800 (Northern Electric & Power) is a powerful, dual microinverter specially designed for modern balcony power plants. With a maximum output of 800 Watt it fully exploits the legal feed-in limits and ensures maximum yield.A key advantage of this model over many competitors is the already permanently integrated WLAN module. You do not need an additional base station (like a DTU) to read out the yield data. The inverter connects directly to your home router. Thanks to two independent MPPT trackers, it individually controls two connected solar modules, which optimises the overall yield especially in case of partial shading or different orientations (e.g. east/west).Highlights at a glanceHigh output power (800 watts): Reliably feeds up to 800 VA into the home grid, ideal for maximum yield from standard balcony power plants.Integrated WLAN: No external gateway or additional stick required; the device sends yield data straight to the free NEPViewer app.Two independent MPPT trackers: Guarantees the best yield from each of the two modules, even if one is partially shaded.Integrated NA protection: Complies with the German standard VDE-AR-N 4105 (including integrated relay) for safe and legal operation in Germany.High module compatibility: Handles high input currents and is therefore ideally suited for modern high-performance modules (400W to 600W+ per input).Robust & weatherproof: The aluminium housing is dust- and waterproof to IP67 and built for decades of outdoor use.Areas of applicationThe NEP BDM-800 is the uncomplicated all-rounder for:Balcony power plants (2 modules): The classic "plug & play" unit on the balcony railing for immediate reduction in the electricity bill.Garden & flat roof installation: Ideal, as the unit can be mounted outdoors directly behind the elevated modules thanks to IP67.Smart homes: For users who wish to monitor their electricity generation conveniently and without additional hardware on their smartphone (iOS/Android).Assembly & Safety InstructionsWLAN reception at the installation site: As the WLAN module is located in the metal housing of the inverter, please check with your smartphone before permanent installation whether sufficient WLAN signal from your router still reaches the balcony/roof.Ventilation: The inverter uses its casing as a heat sink. Do not mount it directly on combustible materials and allow space to the rear of the module so that air may circulate.Throttling possible: If your local grid operator still insists on 600 watts, the NEP BDM-800 can usually be throttled in a certified manner via support or the app (and later increased back to 800W). You only need to connect the device to your home network (2.4 GHz) via the app during initial setup.Which plugs do I need to connect to the socket? The device usually has a standardised AC connection (often type Betteri BC01). To connect to the socket you need a suitable connection cable "Betteri to Schuko" (or to Wieland plug), long enough for your setup. What happens if my router fails? Will the NEP still produce electricity?Yes, absolutely. The WLAN connection is used purely for reading the statistics and yields in the app. As soon as the sun is shining and there is grid voltage, the inverter feeds electricity into your home grid – completely independently of the internet.
