Although the "extra gain" here is less than with a flat roof with a white substrate, the bifacial cell still helps to better utilise diffuse light. However, the main advantage of "full black" is the glass-glass stability and the optics. Why is N-Type better than P-Type?N-type cells have a different doping (phosphorus instead of boron). As a result, they do not suffer from the "LID effect" (Light Induced Degradation), i.e. they do not lose any power in the first few hours of operation. They also have a better temperature coefficient – so they deliver more power than conventional modules even on hot summer days. Will the module fit on my balcony power station?Yes, absolutely. With 460 watts, it is extremely powerful and achieves a lot even at unfavourable angles. The dimensions (approx. 1.76 x 1.13 m) fit almost all standard brackets. The weight of 22 kg is very moderate for glass-glass and easy to handle.

The VDE tolerates the feed-in of plug-in solar devices (balcony power stations) up to the applicable trivial limit (600W or in future 800W) via the standard household Schuko socket. In practice and in the revised standards, a special Wieland socket is no longer mandatory for these small systems.
The GNE Honeybee 650 is a powerful DC power optimiser specifically designed to maximise the energy yield of photovoltaic systems in the event of shading, soiling or varying module orientation. Unlike closed systems (such as SolarEdge), the Honeybee 650 is universally compatible. It works with almost every standard string inverter (e.g. SMA, Fronius, Kostal, Growatt, Deye). Thanks to module-level MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking), this optimiser ensures that each solar module delivers its maximum output independently of the rest of the string. A shaded module therefore no longer reduces the output of the entire string. This makes the Honeybee 650 the ideal, cost-effective retrofit solution for existing installations or for complex new roofs.Highlights at a glanceUniversal compatibility: Works with almost all standard inverters and module types on the market, ideal for retrofits.Selective use: You do not have to equip all modules; it is often sufficient to fit only the affected (shaded) modules with an optimiser.High load capacity: Designed for modern high-performance modules up to 650 watts output and 15 amps input current.Shading management: Eliminates mismatch losses caused by shade (chimney, dormer, trees), dirt or ageing.Real-time monitoring: In combination with the (optional) Beehive base station, monitoring at module level is possible.Safety shutdown: Offers (with optional accessories) rapid shutdown functions for greater safety in the event of a fire.Robust design: IP68-certified housing for long-lasting weather resistance and durability on the roof.Areas of applicationShading: Roofs with moving shade caused by dormers, chimneys, satellite dishes or trees.Different orientations: Strings distributed across several roof surfaces (e.g. east/west) or pitch angles.Module mix: Systems in which (e.g. due to repair) different module outputs must be combined in one string.Repowering: Retrofitting old systems to compensate for degradation losses.Installation & safety instructionsObserve the sequence: Connect first the optimisers to the solar modules and then connect the outputs of the optimisers to the string. Only at the very end is the string connected to the inverter.Selective vs. full expansion: The Honeybee 650 can be used selectively (only on shaded modules) to save output. However, if you require monitoring (monitoring each individual module via app), you must equip all modules in a string with an optimiser as well as the additional communication unit (Beehive Gateway).Spacing: When mounting on the frame, ensure that the rear side of the optimiser (cooling surface) has a little air gap to the rear side of the module to ensure good heat dissipation. Specifications ModelGNE Honeybee 650 Max. module output**650 W** Max. input voltage**75 V** Max. input current**16 A** MPPT voltage range12 V - 75 V Max. efficiency**99.6 %** Connector type**MC4 compatible** (Evo2) Protection rating**IP68** (Fully waterproof) Operating temperature-40°C to +85°C Dimensions (without cable)130.5 x 113 x 26 mm FAQs about the GNE Honeybee 650Can I also use this optimiser with a SolarEdge inverter? No. SolarEdge inverters necessarily require SolarEdge's own optimisers, as these are firmly integrated into the inverter control system. The GNE Honeybee is intended for all other (classic) string inverters (SMA, Fronius, Huawei etc.).Do I need an additional device for optimisation? No. For pure power optimisation (shade management), the Honeybee 650 works autonomously. It starts working as soon as current flows. You only need additional devices (Beehive Data Logger) if you want to see the data of each individual module on your mobile phone or require active rapid shutdown. What is the difference compared to the Tigo TS4-A-O?Functionally, both are very similar (universal optimisers up to 700W/650W). GNE often positions the Honeybee as an attractively priced alternative. Both systems use similar radio technologies for monitoring, but are not compatible with each other (you cannot mix Tigo and GNE in the same string).
Beltrona High-quality mounting bracket 0–30 degrees
These Beltrona Universal mounting system is a robust and flexible solution for securely mounting photovoltaic modules on flat surfaces (flat roofs, garage roofs, ground, terraces). Made from corrosion-resistant Aluminium, this design offers maximum durability with a low weight. The special highlight is the Variable tilt angles from 30° to 60°. This allows you to align the solar module perfectly with the sun, thereby significantly increasing the yield of your system – particularly in the case of "balcony power stations" or off-grid systems – The mounting bracket is designed to be universal and fits almost all standard solar module sizes (framed).Highlights at a glanceFlexible bracket (30°-60°): The tilt angle can be adjusted continuously or in steps (depending on the model) between 30 and 60 degrees. A steeper angle (45–60°) is ideal for optimising yield in spring, autumn and winter, when the sun is low in the sky.Universal fit: The structure is attached directly to the frame of the solar module. As the rails are telescopic or can be mounted in various ways, the system is suitable for small 100W modules as well as large 400W+ panels (standard width approx. 1134mm).High-quality material: Made from anodised Aluminium (AL6005-T5) and screws made of Stainless steel (SUS304). This guarantees rust resistance and weather resistance for decades.Versatile installation: Suitable for flat roofs (bitumen, membrane, gravel), concrete surfaces, garden soil or even for vertical wall mounting (facade) to space the module away from the wall.Easy installation: Pre-assembled parts and simple screw connections enable quick installation.Areas of applicationBeltrona ’s mounting system is ideal for:Flat roofs: Garage, carport, bungalow (weighting with ballast stones recommended).Garden / open space: Installation on a lawn or terrace.Balcony power stations: To position modules at the optimum angle on a large terrace or a canopy.Facade: For wall mounting, to tilt the module away from the house wall towards the sun.Installation & Safety InstructionsBallasting (Important!): If you are installing the mounting bracket on a flat roof (e.g. bitumen), you are often not permitted to drill through the roof membrane. In this case, the structure must be weighted down (e.g. with paving slabs or concrete blocks). A single module at a 60° angle presents a large surface area for the wind to catch (sail effect)!Screw connection: The bracket is typically screwed into the mounting holes on the back of the module frame. Check whether your module frame has the appropriate holes or use module clamps.Alignment: Ideally, align the module with South orientation. If a south-facing orientation is not feasible, south-east or south-west orientations also deliver good yields. Current standard modules (approx. 172 x 113 cm) can be installed without any problems. The length of the aluminium arms is designed to safely support these sizes. Why 30° to 60° and not flatter?Flatter angles (e.g. 10–15°) do not self-clean as effectively (rain does not wash away pollen/dust). The 30–60° range offers the best compromise between Self-cleaning and Annual yield. 30–35° is ideal for summer, whilst 60° makes the most of the low winter sun.Can I also screw the system to the wall?Yes, these triangular structures are also ideal for façade mounting. One side is firmly anchored to the wall with dowels, whilst the adjustable side supports the module. Please ensure you use sturdy dowels and screws here due to wind loads.
The NEP BDM-800 (Northern Electric & Power) is a powerful, dual microinverter specially designed for modern balcony power plants. With a maximum output of 800 Watt it fully exploits the legal feed-in limits and ensures maximum yield.A key advantage of this model over many competitors is the already permanently integrated WLAN module. You do not need an additional base station (like a DTU) to read out the yield data. The inverter connects directly to your home router. Thanks to two independent MPPT trackers, it individually controls two connected solar modules, which optimises the overall yield especially in case of partial shading or different orientations (e.g. east/west).Highlights at a glanceHigh output power (800 watts): Reliably feeds up to 800 VA into the home grid, ideal for maximum yield from standard balcony power plants.Integrated WLAN: No external gateway or additional stick required; the device sends yield data straight to the free NEPViewer app.Two independent MPPT trackers: Guarantees the best yield from each of the two modules, even if one is partially shaded.Integrated NA protection: Complies with the German standard VDE-AR-N 4105 (including integrated relay) for safe and legal operation in Germany.High module compatibility: Handles high input currents and is therefore ideally suited for modern high-performance modules (400W to 600W+ per input).Robust & weatherproof: The aluminium housing is dust- and waterproof to IP67 and built for decades of outdoor use.Areas of applicationThe NEP BDM-800 is the uncomplicated all-rounder for:Balcony power plants (2 modules): The classic "plug & play" unit on the balcony railing for immediate reduction in the electricity bill.Garden & flat roof installation: Ideal, as the unit can be mounted outdoors directly behind the elevated modules thanks to IP67.Smart homes: For users who wish to monitor their electricity generation conveniently and without additional hardware on their smartphone (iOS/Android).Assembly & Safety InstructionsWLAN reception at the installation site: As the WLAN module is located in the metal housing of the inverter, please check with your smartphone before permanent installation whether sufficient WLAN signal from your router still reaches the balcony/roof.Ventilation: The inverter uses its casing as a heat sink. Do not mount it directly on combustible materials and allow space to the rear of the module so that air may circulate.Throttling possible: If your local grid operator still insists on 600 watts, the NEP BDM-800 can usually be throttled in a certified manner via support or the app (and later increased back to 800W). You only need to connect the device to your home network (2.4 GHz) via the app during initial setup.Which plugs do I need to connect to the socket? The device usually has a standardised AC connection (often type Betteri BC01). To connect to the socket you need a suitable connection cable "Betteri to Schuko" (or to Wieland plug), long enough for your setup. What happens if my router fails? Will the NEP still produce electricity?Yes, absolutely. The WLAN connection is used purely for reading the statistics and yields in the app. As soon as the sun is shining and there is grid voltage, the inverter feeds electricity into your home grid – completely independently of the internet.

The main differences are:Radio: HMS uses Sub-1G (better range) instead of 2.4 GHz (HM).Connection: HMS uses the BC05 connector, HM uses Betteri BC01.Amperage: The HMS tolerates higher input currents (14A), making it more compatible with modern high performance modules (400W+).Do I necessarily need a DTU (Data Transfer Unit)? For pure operation ("generate power"): No. As soon as the sun shines and the grid is present, it generates power. For monitoring (app) and settings (throttling to 600W): Yes. As the HMS-800W-2T does not have integrated Wi-Fi, you need the DTU-Lite-S stick for app connection. Can I limit the inverter to 600 watts?Yes. When used together with a DTU and an installer account in the S-Miles Cloud, the output power can be limited as a percentage (e.g. to 75% = 600W) to comply with current registration requirements.

The 3 metre Hoymiles BC05 to Schuko connection cable is the ideal "plug & play" solution for safely and quickly connecting micro inverters of the modern Hoymiles HMS series to the home network. With a length of 3 metres, it offers a little more leeway than the extremely short 2-metre version, without having to store unnecessarily long cable on the balcony as would be the case with 5 or 10 metres. It connects the special "Field Connector" (BC05) of the inverter directly to a Schuko (Type F) socket. The high-quality, heavy rubber hose cable (H07RN-F 3G1.5) ensures maximum safety and longevity in continuous outdoor use.Highlights at a glancePerfect fit: Specially assembled for Hoymiles micro inverters of the HMS series (e.g. HMS-800W-2T, HMS-1000, HMS-1600) with the typical BC05 connector.Optimal intermediate length (3 metres): Provides the necessary slack for a tidy installation on balcony railings or through the wall, without excess cable clutter.Easy installation: Connects the inverter directly and without additional adapters or tinkering to a standard outdoor socket.High-quality rubber cable: The cable type H07RN-F 3G1.5 mm² is extremely resistant to UV rays, moisture, cold, and mechanical abrasion.High protection rating: The BC05 plug on the inverter side is waterproof (IP68), the Schuko plug is splashproof (IP44).Safe performance: Designed for 230 V and 16 A, the cable effortlessly transmits the output of standard balcony power plants (600W / 800W / 2000W).Areas of applicationThe 3-metre length is the problem solver for typical installation situations:Balcony power plants: When the socket is not located directly next to the inverter, but 1-2 metres away on the house wall.Wall penetrations: To bridge the distance from the external module through the masonry to the nearest indoor socket.Terrace & carport: For connection to moisture-proof sockets that are mounted somewhat higher or offset.Assembly & safety instructionsCorrect fit: Press the BC05 plug firmly onto the connection on the inverter until it audibly clicks into place. This guarantees the tightness (IP68).Disassembly: To disconnect the connection, you will need the Hoymiles unlocking tool ("Disconnect Tool"). Do not attempt to use a screwdriver as this may damage the plug.No Betteri connection: Do not confuse this cable with the "Betteri BC01" cable for the old HM series. The plugs are mechanically incompatible.Routing: Make sure that the cable is not pinched (e.g. in windows without a feed-through) and protect the Schuko plug from direct heavy rain. The HMS series offered here uses the proprietary Hoymiles "BC05" standard. The plugs are not compatible. Is the cable UV-resistant?Yes. The jacket of the cable is made from a special rubber compound (H07RN-F), certified for permanent use under direct sunlight and weather conditions. It will not become brittle. Can I use the cable for a 2000 watt inverter (HMS-2000)?Yes. The cable has a conductor cross-section of 1.5 mm² and is rated for continuous loads of 16 amps (approx. 3680 watts). An HMS-2000 with 2000 watts peak output is well within the safety margins of this cable.
