Yuasa NP2.3-12 VdS industrial battery 12 V 2.3 Ah
Product information
Yuasa e NP2.3-12 is a maintenance-free VRLA industrial battery with VdS approval. It offers impressive compact dimensions, reliable power output and a service life of up to 5 years. Ideal when you require a stable 12-volt supply in security and emergency power applications where space is limited.
Highlights at a glance
- Reliable capacity: 2.3 Ah during a 20-hour discharge to 10.5 V at 20 °C.
- VdS approved: G 101139 for safety-related applications
- Compact and lightweight: 178 x 34 x 64 mm, weighing 0.95 kg.
- Flexible installation: Operation in any position except permanently upside down.
- Low self-discharge: Approximately 3 per cent per month at 20 °C.
- Particularly safe: Low-pressure relief valves, UL-approved materials.
- Easy installation: FASTON plug connection 4.7 mm.
Maximum performance for compact applications
Despite its compact size, the NP2.3-12 delivers high charging currents for short periods. Up to 69 A for 1 second and 23 A for 1 minute are possible. The measured internal resistance is 90 mΩ at 1 kHz. This makes the battery particularly suitable for fire and burglar alarm systems, emergency and safety lighting, control systems, measuring instruments, and small UPS and buffer applications.
Efficiency meets long service life
The EUROBAT classification as Standard Commercial indicates a typical service life of 3 to 5 years at 20 °C. The low self-discharge rate supports long storage times. The housing is made of ABS to UL94 HB as standard; a flame-retardant FR version to UL94 V0 is available as an option. Valve-regulated recombination and low-maintenance operation ensure a high level of operational reliability.
Technology for flexible applications
The battery can be operated in almost any position, except permanently upside down. The operating temperature range for charging and discharging is from minus 20 °C to plus 60 °C. For float charging, 13.65 V ±1 per cent is specified, with temperature compensation of minus 3 mV per cell per degree Celsius. For fast charging, the voltage is 14.50 V ±3 per cent, with a compensation of minus 4 mV per cell per degree Celsius.
No current limitation is required for float charging; for high-current charging, 0.575 A is recommended. Adequate ventilation must be ensured, as hydrogen may be produced in VRLA batteries.
Electrical connection is via FASTON 4.7 mm plug-in terminals. The compact design facilitates installation in narrow enclosures and racks.
