The Deye SUN-3.6K-SG05LP1-EU-AM2 is a compact, single-phase hybrid inverter designed specifically for smaller photovoltaic systems in residential buildings. With an AC output power of 3.6 kW it offers the ideal introduction to energy independence by combining solar power generation, battery management and emergency power supply in a single device.

As part of the SG05 series this inverter is designed for operation with 48V low-voltage batteries optimised. This makes the system particularly flexible and cost-effective when selecting the storage unit. Despite its compact design, it features all the ‘major’ Deye features, such as the Smart Load connection and parallel scalability.

  • Battery protection
    • As high currents can flow in 48V systems, it is essential to ensure that the cable cross-sections are sufficiently sized and that a suitable DC fuse is installed between the battery and the inverter.
  • Wall mounting
    • The device is robustly built and designed for wall mounting. Thanks to its IP65 protection rating, it can also be installed in sheltered outdoor areas.
  • Earthing & lightning protection
    • Ensure that the system is properly earthed to protect the electronics and connected loads from power surges..

Which batteries are compatible with this inverter?

Almost all 48V lithium storage systems.

  • It is perfectly compatible with popular models such as Pylontech (US2000C/US3000C/US5000), Dyness or Deye’s own low-voltage batteries. Conventional lead-gel batteries can also be configured. It is essential to check the batteries against the compatibility list before purchasing.

Can I use the inverter for a balcony power plant?

Technically yes, but oversized.

  • While it far exceeds the output of a balcony power plant, it offers the advantage that you can integrate a proper battery and later scale the system into a full roof-mounted installation.

Is the Wi-Fi module for app control included?

Usually, yes.

  • Deye usually comes with a Wi-Fi dongle, which you can use to connect the system to the "Solarman" app or the Deye portal to view yields and consumption worldwide.

Can the unit start a generator?

Yes.

  • Via the signal port, the inverter can send an automatic start command to compatible generators if the battery level is too low and there is no sunlight.

By connecting up to six towers in parallel, flexible scaling to significantly higher capacities is possible.How many cycles does the battery last?According to the datasheet, the storage system achieves over 6,000 charge cycles at 90 % depth of discharge (DoD). This makes the system suitable for long-term use with consistently high performance and reliability.Which inverters is the 10 kWh package compatible with?The system is officially approved for Deye hybrid inverters in the low-voltage series.
