The Deye AI-W5.1-B is designed to grow with your energy needs. The system can be expanded in stacks up to 6 modules (30.72 kWh) and can be connected in up to 6 clusters in parallel, for a total capacity of up to 184 kWh. The smart plug-&-play connection makes installation quick, safe, and cost-efficient with no external cables or screws needed.

Intelligent energy management

Each module is equipped with a high-precision battery management system (BMS) that intelligently controls charge and discharge processes, protects cells, and maximises lifespan. Remote monitoring, automatic addressing, and wireless communication ensure simple system integration and high transparency during operation.

Robust technology for all conditions

Thanks to its IP65-certified housing, the storage is protected against dust and water jets and is suitable for interiors such as basements, technical rooms, and protected outdoor areas. Operation is possible at temperatures from -20 °C to +55 °C. The wireless design with natural convection cooling makes the storage silent, maintenance-free, and durable.

Can I later expand the storage to 15 or 30 kWh?

Yes, up to six modules can be combined per stack for a total capacity of 30.7 kWh per stack. By parallel connecting up to six stacks, flexible scaling to significantly higher capacities is possible.

How many cycles does the battery last?

According to the data sheet, the storage achieves over 6,000 charge cycles at 90 % depth of discharge (DoD). This makes the system suitable for long-term use with consistently high performance and reliability.

Which inverters is the 10 kWh package compatible with?

The system is officially certified for three-phase Deye hybrid inverters of the SUN-xK-HP3 and SUN-xK-BM series. The communication and operating parameters are factory aligned. "Plug-&-Play" operation is possible without further configuration.

Can I operate the storage with other inverters?

There is no official approval for other inverters by Deye. Use with third-party devices is at your own risk and without any guarantee of function.

Does the battery need to be fully charged before its first use?

Yes, the manual recommends an initial 100 % charge to ensure correct synchronisation of the state of charge (SoC). If this step is skipped, the SoC values may deviate and the capacity display may be inaccurate.

System composition

  • This product is a set and consists of three separate main components forming a 10.24 kWh tower system.

Component 1: Deye AI-W5.1-B-BMS (control unit & base)

  • The central control unit (BMS cluster) that manages the entire system. This unit forms the base of the battery tower.

Component 2 & 3: Two Deye AI-W5.1-BATT battery modules (5.12 kWh each)

  • Two pure battery modules each with 5.12 kWh, to be stacked on the BMS unit.

1 x set of battery connection cables (plus & minus)

  • A pair of heavy-duty cables to connect the BMS unit to an external hybrid inverter.

1 x communication cable (CAN/RS485)

  • A data cable for communication between the BMS and the inverter.

1 x connecting bridge / parallel connection cable

  • Short, robust cables or a fixed bridge to connect the two battery modules together.

1 x grounding cable

  • A protective conductor cable for proper grounding of the BMS unit.
