What is the difference to the 180 Ah battery (YBX1629)?

The difference is in the size and power.

• 180 Ah (YBX1629): Width approx. 223 mm (Type B).
• 220 Ah (YBX1632): Width approx. 274 mm (Type C). The YBX1632 is significantly wider and heavier. It only fits in battery boxes designed for this maximum size (often found in Scania or newer large lorries). Be sure to measure your battery box!

Is this battery suitable for lorries with extensive “hotel equipment”?

For standard applications, yes. However, if you regularly sleep in your lorry and use many devices (stationary air conditioning, coffee machine, inverter, TV), it is advisable to use the more powerful Yuasa YBX3632 or YBX5632 (EFB). These offer a much higher cycle resistance and service life at deep discharge while keeping the same size.

How heavy is the battery?

The YBX1632 weighs around 56 to 57 kg. For health and safety reasons, fitting should always be carried out by two people or with lifting equipment.
