The Yuasa SWL+4000 is the absolute top model of the SWL-Plus series in the 12-volt segment. With a massive nominal capacity of 135 Ah and outstanding power density, this block defines the upper limit of what is possible with VRLA technology in this size.
This battery was designed for large-scale consumers who need maximum energy (both capacity and high current). It is the more powerful upgrade to the well-known models of the 120Ah class (such as the SWL3800). With the Eurobat "Very Long Life" classification, the SWL+4000 is the backbone for megawatt UPS systems in hyperscale data centres and critical industrial facilities.

Installation & Safety Instructions
- Critical weight: A single block weighs just under 50 kg. Handling must never be carried out alone. Use mechanical lifting aids or always work in a team (observe occupational safety!).
- Floor load: Before installation, check the point load of your raised floor or the load-bearing capacity of the shelves. A fully equipped cabinet quickly reaches a weight of over a tonne.
- Connection (M8): Here, currents of several thousand amperes can flow in the event of a short circuit. The M8 bolts must always be tightened to 6 Nm.
- Ventilation: Sufficient ventilation of the battery room in accordance with EN 50272-2 is mandatory.

Can I use the SWL+4000 as a replacement for the SWL3800?
Yes. The SWL+4000 is the direct power upgrade to the SWL3800. The dimensions (footprint approx. 340 x 173 mm) are generally compatible. By replacing you gain in capacity and maximum discharge power.
Do I need special connection cables because of this weight?
Not because of the weight, but because of the power. Enormous currents flow at 4000 watts per block. You need connectors with a sufficient cross-section (often 50mm² or 70mm² and more, depending on the string length), to avoid voltage drops and overheating. Only use certified jumpers.
Is the SWL+4000 also available in FR (flame retardant)?
Yes. The version SWL+4000FR with UL94 V-0 housing is available and is the standard for use in data centres. Please state when ordering if you require the FR version.Properties
