Yuasa NPC100-12 Cycle-proof lead-acid battery with 12V and 100Ah

Description

Product information

The Yuasa NPC100-12 is a robust, cycle-resistant lead-acid battery with a nominal voltage of 12 volts and a capacity of 100 ampere-hours. As part of the Yuasa Cyclic series, it has been specially designed for repeated charging and discharging cycles. Thanks to the maintenance-free AGM technology (Absorbent Glass Mat) and the valve-regulated design (VRLA), this battery provides a reliable, leak-proof and long-lasting source of energy. It is ideal for applications requiring high cycle life and deep discharges.

Highlights at a glance

  • Cycle resistant: Developed for twice the lifespan in cyclic use compared to conventional VRLA batteries.
  • High capacity: 100 Ah at 12 V for long-lasting power supply.
  • Maintenance-free: Leak-proof AGM technology with over 99% gas recombination.
  • Robust design: Excellent resistance to deep discharge.
  • Low self-discharge: Only about 3% per month at 20 °C, allowing for a long shelf life.
  • Flexible installation: Operation in all positions (except permanently upside down).

Powerful performance for cyclic applications

The NPC100-12 reliably supplies power in recurring discharge cycles. With a capacity of 100 Ah at a 20-hour discharge (down to 1.75 V/cell), this battery is perfect for mobile and recurring energy requirements. Its lead-calcium grid design and the advanced plate system provide superior cycle life and excellent recovery after deep discharge.

Robust technology for demanding environments

The VRLA technology with AGM system makes the NPC100-12 completely maintenance-free and leak-proof. The battery has self-sealing low-pressure relief valves for safe pressure equalisation. The housing made of robust ABS plastic ensures high mechanical stability and can also be supplied in a flame-retardant version (UL94:V0).

Flexible expandability for future needs

The modular system design enables a gradual expansion of storage capacity with additional LUX-X modules. Your storage grows with your energy requirements without the need to replace your existing installation. Depending on the model, up to eight modules can be combined, offering a total capacity of up to 40.96 kWh.

FAQs about the Yuasa NPC100-12 lead-acid battery

For which applications is the NPC100-12 best suited?

This battery has been specially developed for cyclic applications where the battery is regularly charged and discharged. These include electric vehicles such as golf caddies, wheelchairs or cleaning machines, but also solar systems and wind power systems as well as portable measuring devices.

What does "cycle-resistant" mean?

Cycle resistance describes the ability of a battery to be repeatedly discharged and recharged without losing capacity or lifespan. The Yuasa NPC100-12 can handle twice as many charge and discharge cycles as conventional lead-acid batteries, making it ideal for cyclic use.

Is this battery maintenance-free and leak-proof?

Yes, thanks to the AGM technology used, the battery is completely maintenance-free. The electrolyte is bound in a glass fibre mat, making the battery completely leak-proof.

What is the lifespan of the NPC100-12?

The service life is generally 3 to 5 years at an operating temperature of 20 °C and is categorised as "Standard Commercial" according to EUROBAT. The actual service life depends greatly on the respective operating and charging conditions.

Can the battery also be used in solar systems?

Yes, the high cycle resistance and robustness against deep discharge make the NPC100-12 a very good choice for small to medium-sized solar systems, where the battery is charged during the day and discharged at night.

Which charger should I use for the NPC100-12?

We recommend using a charger that is designed for AGM batteries with a capacity of 100 Ah. Please observe the charging voltages recommended by the manufacturer: approx. 13.65 V for float charging and approx. 14.5 V for cycle charging.
