Product information

The Yuasa NP3.2-12RP is a compact, maintenance-free VRLA industrial battery from the NP series. It combines high reliability with flexible power output in standby and cyclic operation. Ideal for security systems, emergency and safety lighting, measurement and control technology, as well as small UPS and buffer applications.

Highlights at a glance

  • Reliable capacity: 3.2 Ah during a 20-hour discharge to 1.75 V per cell at 30 °C.
  • VdS approved: G 118039 for safety-critical applications
  • Cycle and float operation: Suitable for float or cyclic operation, with very good recovery after deep discharge.
  • Flexible installation: Operation is possible in any position, except permanently overhead.
  • Low self-discharge: Approximately 3 per cent per month at 20 °C.
  • Easy installation: 4.8 mm FASTON plug-in connectors.

Maximum performance for compact applications

The NP3.2-12RP delivers stable voltage and short load peaks in confined spaces. The AGM glass fibre mat securely binds the electrolyte and the valve-regulated recombination minimises gassing. This makes the battery suitable for fire and burglar alarm systems, portable measuring devices, control systems, telecommunications, and as a buffer source in small energy and solar systems.

Efficiency meets long service life

The EUROBAT Standard Commercial classification indicates a typical service life of 3 to 5 years in float mode at 20 °C. For float applications, a continuous float charging voltage of 2.275 V per cell is recommended, with temperature compensation of minus 3 mV per cell per degree Celsius. The very low self-discharge rate supports long storage life and standby operation.

Technology for flexible applications

The permissible temperature range enables versatile applications. Charging from minus 15 °C to plus 50 °C, discharging from minus 20 °C to plus 60 °C, storage from minus 20 °C to plus 50 °C. The robust ABS housing is impact-resistant and is available optionally as a flame-retardant FR version. The battery must not be operated in gas-tight enclosures and requires adequate ventilation.
