The main difference is in the pole arrangement. While the YB12A-A has the positive terminal on the left, the YB12AL-A2 has the positive terminal on the right (when looking at the connections from the front). The dimensions are identical. Please be sure to check which side the cables are on your motorbike before purchasing.

Is acid included in the delivery?

This depends on the dealer. As this is a "Dry Charged" (dry pre-charged) battery, it must be filled with battery acid (sulphuric acid, density 1.28) before first use. A suitable acid pack is often supplied, but this must be explicitly mentioned in the product description.

How do I care for this battery correctly?

As it is a classic wet-cell battery, you should regularly (e.g. during inspections or before winter) check the fluid level. If it is below the "Lower Level" mark, please only fill up with distilled water (no acid!) up to the "Upper Level" mark.

What should I observe during installation?

Don't forget to connect the vent hose to the side outlet (left). Make sure that the hose leads downwards without any kinks and is not blocked so that any gases that are formed can escape safely. The red plug, which is often fitted to the vent during delivery, must be removed before installation.
