Yuasa Lead-acid battery with 12V and 14Ah - REC1412
Description
Product information
The YUASA REC1412 is a reliable and powerful VRLA battery for cyclic applications. With 12 volts and 14 Ah nominal capacity, this battery is particularly suitable for repeated charging and discharging operations in mobile devices, medical technology, security systems or renewable energy systems. The compact and robust battery is manufactured to the highest quality standards and impresses with its long service life, high cycle durability and maintenance-free operation.
Highlights at a glance
- Cyclic use: Developed for repeated charging and discharging cycles with up to 1400 cycles at 25% depth of discharge.
- High performance: Delivers up to 195 A discharge current for one second.
- Compact design: Only 151 mm long, 98 mm wide and 94 mm high.
- Maintenance-free: VRLA technology with integrated valves for safe operation.
- Reliable service life: EUROBAT classification "General Purpose" with 6 to 9 years design service life.
Reliable energy for cyclic applications
The YUASA REC1412 is part of the REC series, specially designed for cyclic operation. It impresses with an output of 13 Ah (20h rate) and exceptionally high cycle durability. With 25% depth of discharge, up to 1400 cycles are possible, an ideal energy storage for applications with regular charging/discharging cycles such as electric wheelchairs, medical devices, solar systems, emergency lighting and more.
Robust technology for continuous operation
Thanks to its VRLA technology (Valve Regulated Lead Acid), the REC1412 is absolutely maintenance-free and leak-proof. The housing made of robust ABS plastic (UL94:HB) offers mechanical stability and protection during operation. The integrated low-pressure overpressure valve ensures safe exhaust of gases produced without compromising tightness.
Flexible installation and simple handling
The REC1412 can be used in almost any installation position, with the exception of permanent overhead mounting. The Faston connections (6.35 mm) allow for a fast and safe connection, ideal for mobile or changing usage environments. The recommended maximum charge current is 3.25 A, both in standby and in cyclic operation.

FAQs about Yuasa REC1412 lead-acid battery
For which applications is the battery optimised?
It is a VRLA (AGM) battery, specially developed for cyclic applications such as electric wheelchairs, golf trolleys, photovoltaic storage, mobile pumps, robotics, medical devices and UPS systems.
What is the cycle durability of the battery?
Thanks to lead-calcium grid and AGM technology, it offers double the number of cycles compared to standard VRLA batteries: e.g. approx. 300 cycles at 100% deep discharge or up to approx. 1,400 cycles at 25% DoD.
Which charging characteristics are recommended?
- Float/standby charging: 13.65 V per unit (2.275 V/cell) ±1 %
- Cyclic/boost charging: 14.52 V per unit (2.42 V/cell) ±3 %
- Recommended charging current limit: max. 3.25 A
What about safety and construction?
The housing is made of impact-resistant ABS (UL94 HB, FR version optional V0), valve-controlled with almost 100% gas recombination and low-pressure relief valves. The battery releases hydrogen during charging – do not install in airtight containers.
How long is the battery expected to last?
The battery is developed for high cycle durability, not for a certain calendar lifetime. Operation occurs within -15 °C to +45 °C (charging, discharging, storage). The expected number of cycles is 600 cycles at 50% DoD, 1,400 cycles at 25% DoD.
