Yuasa lead 6V 12Ah - VDS
Product information
The Yuasa NP12-6 VDS is a valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) battery with a nominal voltage of 6 V and a capacity of 12 Ah, specially developed for safety-critical and industrial applications. Thanks to leak-proof AGM technology, high discharge current capacity and VdS approval, this battery provides a reliable power supply for many years and is maintenance-free and versatile in use.
Highlights at a glance
- High capacity: 12 Ah at 6 V, ideal for long-lasting and high-performance systems.
- VdS approved: G 194006 for safety-related applications
- Maintenance-free: AGM technology with over 99% gas recombination.
- Flexible installation: Can be installed in almost any position (except upside down).
- High load capacity: Up to 360 A discharge current for 1 second.
- Long-lasting: Service life of up to 5 years at 20 °C according to the EUROBAT classification.
Compact performance for safety-critical applications
The NP12-6 VDS delivers a capacity of 11.1 Ah at a 10-hour discharge rate (down to 1.8 V/cell) and is ideal for systems where a constant supply and short load peaks are essential. With a discharge current of up to 360 A for 1 second and 75 A for 1 minute, the battery is particularly suitable for UPS systems, alarm systems or medical equipment.
Technology for the highest standards
VRLA technology with AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) ensures gas-tight, maintenance-free operation without the need for water top-ups. The battery achieves a long service life of up to 5 years at 20 °C (EUROBAT: “Standard Commercial”). With a self-discharge rate of only approx. 3% per month, extended storage is also possible without any problems.
The battery meets the highest safety standards: the robust housing is made of ABS plastic and can also be supplied in a flame-retardant version (UL94:V0) on request. Low-pressure relief valves ensure safe pressure equalisation within the cells.
