The Yuasa YTZ7S (in the "WC" version for "Wet Charged") is one of the most powerful batteries in its size class. It is the top model in the compact YTZ series and offers maximum starting power with minimum dimensions. With a capacity of 6 Ah (10h) or 6.3 Ah (20h) and an impressive cold-start current of 130 A (EN), it is the indispensable powerhouse for high-capacity enduro bikes, modern supersport bikes and scooters with start-stop technology.

• Maximum energy density: Supplies with 130 A cold start current an enormous output for this small housing and clearly surpasses the identically built YTZ5S or YTZ6V.

• Compact power package: With dimensions of 113 x 70 x 105 mm, it fits in the smallest battery compartments, but still supplies enough power to start even a 1000cc Fireblade.

It is the original equipment for the Honda CBR 1000 RR Fireblade (many model years), the Yamaha WR 250 / 450 F, the Honda CRF 450 X as well as modern scooters such as the Honda PCX 125 / 150 (as the most powerful upgrade to the YTZ6V) or the Honda SH 125i. It was developed to save weight without compromising on starting power.

What is the difference to the YTZ5S and YTZ6V?

That is the crucial advantage: all three batteries have the same external dimensions (113 x 70 x 105 mm).

• YTZ5S: 3.5 - 4 Ah / 65 A (Basic).
• YTZ6V: 5 Ah / 90 A (Start-stop).
• YTZ7S (your battery): 6 Ah / 130 A (High Performance). The YTZ7S is the most powerful version. You can replace any YTZ5S or YTZ6V with a YTZ7S to achieve maximum starting reserves and service life.

What is the difference to the YTX7L-BS?

Despite similar capacity (6 Ah) the dimensions are completely different.

• YTX7L-BS: 114 x 71 x 131 mm (High & Narrow).
• YTZ7S: 113 x 70 x 105 mm (Compact). The YTZ7S is almost 3 cm flatter! It often fits the holder of the YTX7L (has to be shimmed), but the YTX7L never fits vehicles made for the small YTZ7S (e.g. Honda CBR 1000 RR).

What does "WC" mean?

"WC" stands for "Wet Charged". The battery was filled, charged and permanently sealed under optimal conditions at the Yuasa factory. This guarantees top quality and makes commissioning child's play for you: remove the old battery, put in the new one, finished.

Can I install this battery horizontally?

Yes. As the YTZ7S is factory-sealed ("Factory Activated") and equipped with fleece technology, it is leak-proof. Many manufacturers (such as Yamaha or Honda) use this feature for sports motorcycles to place the battery at an angle or horizontally.
