The Yuasa YTZ4V (supplied as "WC" / Wet Charged Version) is a compact high-performance battery, specially developed as original equipment for modern scooters – especially from Honda. In the size of the classic 4L battery, it offers state-of-the-art AGM technology, but is already factory-filled, sealed and activated. With 3 Ah (10h) or 3.2 Ah (20h) capacity, it is the maintenance-free premium solution for small displacements that need to start reliably.

The standard for Honda Vision & Wave

The YTZ4V is found almost exclusively in modern small scooters. It is the standard battery for the Honda NSC 50 / 110 Vision, the Honda Wave 110i or the Honda ANC 125 Mode. In these vehicles it often replaces the older YTX4L-BS, as manufacturers now prefer to fit factory-filled batteries to avoid assembly errors at the dealer (incorrect filling).

What is the difference to the YTX4L-BS?

The dimensions (113x70x85 mm) and performance data are almost identical. The difference lies in the delivery state and the series.

• YTX4L-BS: Supplied dry with acid pack ("Bottle Supplied"). Must be filled by the user.
• YTZ4V (your battery): Supplied filled and sealed ("Wet Charged"). Ready immediately. The YTZ4V is considered the modern, more convenient upgrade. You can almost always replace the YTX4L-BS with a YTZ4V.

What is the difference to the YTZ5S?

The base area is the same (113 x 70 mm), but the height is different.

• YTZ4V: 85 mm high (3 Ah).
• YTZ5S: 105 mm high (3.5 - 4 Ah). The YTZ5S is 2 cm taller. Check your battery box: If there is space above, the stronger YTZ5S will fit (e.g. in a Honda Grom/MSX 125). In a Honda Vision scooter, however, there is often only space for the flat YTZ4V.

Can I charge this battery?

Yes, but with caution. As the capacity with 3 Ah is very small, the charging current must not be too high (maximum 0.3 - 0.4 amps). Use an intelligent charger for motorcycles (e.g. Optimate 1, CTEK XS 0.8) that is suitable for small AGM batteries. Car chargers are taboo, they would "cook" the battery.

What does "WC" mean?

"WC" stands for "Wet Charged". This means the battery is already filled with acid, charged, and sealed at the factory under optimal conditions. This guarantees a high manufacturing quality and rules out errors during initial commissioning by the customer
