The Yuasa YBX5334 is an extremely powerful starter battery from the YBX5000 Silver High Performance SMF series, specially developed for large Asian SUVs, pickups and vans. With a capacity of approx. 100 Ah (often classified as 95-100Ah) and a massive cold-start current of 830 A (EN), it offers maximum reserves. It matches the JIS format "D31L" and delivers up to 35% more starting power than standard batteries. Thanks to sealed double-lid technology, it is 100% maintenance-free and designed for around 50,000 starts.

FAQs about the Yuasa YBX5334

What is the difference between the YBX5335?

The YBX5334 and the YBX5335 are technically twins (same dimensions, same performance). The only difference is the pole arrangement.

• YBX5334 (D31L): Positive terminal is right (Arrangement 0).
• YBX5335 (D31R): Positive terminal is left (Arrangement 1). Please be sure to check which side the red positive cable is on in your vehicle before purchase, as the cables are often not long enough to change sides.

Will this battery fit in my Land Cruiser / Hilux?

If your vehicle has two batteries (24V system or parallel), you often need a pair: One YBX5334 (L) and one YBX5335 (R). If your vehicle only has one battery, you must check whether the positive terminal is right (then YBX5334) or left (then YBX5335). The D31 case (306 mm long) is standard for these vehicles.

Is the battery suitable for start-stop?

No. The YBX5334 is a conventional starter battery. Modern pickups and SUVs with start-stop systems require an EFB battery. In this size (D31/T110), this would be the Yuasa YBX7000 Series (e.g. YBX7334 for start-stop), to ensure service life.

Does the battery have a base bar?

No, like almost all Asian batteries (JIS), the YBX5334 has no base bar (Type N). It is held in place by a metal bracket that runs across the top of the battery and is screwed to the vehicle floor with hooks.
