What is the difference to the YBX5096?

Both batteries are the same length (243 mm) and the same output (YBX5096 often has 80Ah, but for this size usually 70-75Ah for L3). The most important difference to the comparable L2 battery (e.g. YBX5027/YBX5012) is the height: The YBX5075 is 175 mm high (LB2). A standard battery (L2) is 190 mm high. If your car has little space above, you have to use the flat YBX5075.

Will this battery fit my Opel or Ford?

Yes, that's very likely. Many Ford (Focus, C-Max) and Opel (Astra H/J, Vectra C) models require exactly these dimensions (243 x 175 x 175 mm) and the positive terminal on the right. Please measure the height of your old battery to be sure.

Is the battery suitable for Start-Stop?

No. The YBX5075 is a conventional starter battery. Vehicles with start-stop systems need an EFB battery. The suitable EFB option in this size (LB2) would usually be the YBX7075 (or similar), as regular batteries wear out quickly with start-stop use.

What does the high cold start current of 640A mean?

This means that the battery is very powerful. Standard batteries in this size often only have 480 A to 540 A. The 640 A of the YBX5075 ensures that the engine cranks faster and starts reliably even in very cold weather or with older engine oil.
