What does "thin terminal" (T3) mean?
Unlike standard European batteries, which have approx. 19.5 mm thick terminals (T1), the YBX5053 has thinner terminals (approx. 14.7 mm on the positive terminal). Be sure to check your vehicle connections. If your car has thick terminals, you will need terminal adapter sleeves to connect this battery. However, most vehicles that use this narrow casing have the correct small terminals from the factory.
Will this battery fit my Honda/Toyota?
If your old battery is approx. 24 cm long, but noticeably narrow (approx. 13 cm) and the positive pole is on the right-hand side, the YBX5053 is probably the right choice. Also compare the thickness of the terminals with your little finger (thin terminal) vs. thumb (standard terminal).
Is the battery suitable for Start-Stop?
No. The YBX5053 is a conventional starter battery. Vehicles with start-stop technology require an EFB battery. For Asian vehicles in this format, this would typically be an EFB battery in the N55 size.
How do I recognise the pole layout?
