The Yuasa YBX3110 is a powerful 12V starter battery from the YBX3000 SMF series (Sealed Maintenance Free), specially developed for vehicles with high energy demands and restricted installation height. With a generous capacity of 80 Ah and a high cold crank current of 720 A (EN), it reliably supplies energy to larger cars, estates, and saloons. Thanks to modern calcium/calcium technology and the sealed double lid, the battery is 100% maintenance-free and offers starting power up to 20% higher than standard batteries. It is designed for about 30,000 starting cycles.

FAQs about the Yuasa YBX3110

What is the difference to a standard 80Ah battery?

Many 80Ah batteries have a height of 190 mm (type L4). The YBX3110, however, is only 175 mm tall (type LB4). This 1.5 cm difference is crucial: In vehicles designed for the flat version (often Ford or Opel), the high battery does not fit under the cover or the clamp. So be sure to measure the height of your old battery.

Is this battery suitable for start-stop?

No. The YBX3110 is a conventional starter battery. It must not be used in vehicles with start-stop automation as it cannot withstand cyclic loads. For this you need an AGM or EFB battery in the appropriate size.

Will the battery fit if my old one is shorter?

If your old battery is about 27.8 cm long (L3/LB3 format), the YBX3110 with 31.5 cm length will generally fit not unless your battery compartment has unused space and a repositionable mounting hole. Please check whether there is enough space for the 315 mm in length.

How do I read the "Magic Eye"?

The inspection window on the lid provides a quick indication: Green means "OK / Charged". Black means "Recharge required". White or clear generally signals "Check / acid level too low", which often makes replacement necessary.
