What is the difference compared to a standard 70Ah battery?

The most important difference is the height. A standard battery (L3 housing) is 190 mm high. The YBX3100 (LB3 housing) is only 175 mm high. If your vehicle (e.g. Ford) has little space under the bonnet or the fixing bracket is designed for the low version, the 190 mm high standard battery will not fit. The YBX3100 is then the right choice.

Is the battery suitable for start-stop?

No. The YBX3100 is a conventional starter battery. It is not designed for vehicles with a start-stop system. Use in such a vehicle would wear the battery extremely quickly. For this you need an EFB or AGM battery.

How do I know if I need the low version?

Measure the height of your old battery. If it is approx. 17.5 cm high, you need the YBX3100. If it is approx. 19 cm high, you probably need another model (e.g. YBX3096 or YBX3086).

What does "Magic Eye" mean?

The "Magic Eye" is an indicator on the lid. Green indicates a good charge status. Black usually means the battery needs charging. Clear or white indicates a low acid level or defect.
