The YBX3086 covers one of the most common battery formats (DIN L3 / H6). FAQs about the Yuasa YBX3086

Will this battery fit my car?

The YBX3086 has the standard dimensions 278 x 175 x 190 mm (L3 box). Please measure your old battery. The height of 190 mm is particularly important. Some vehicles require the flatter version with a height of 175 mm (type LB3). If your old battery is approx. 28 cm long and 19 cm high, this is probably the right model.

What is the difference to the YBX3096?

Both batteries have the same external dimensions (L3). However, the YBX3096 is often slightly higher specified (e.g. 80 Ah) or designed for even higher requirements. The YBX3086 with 76 Ah is the more cost-effective option, which is absolutely sufficient for most standard applications in this vehicle class.

Is the battery suitable for start-stop vehicles?

No. The YBX3086 is a conventional lead-acid starter battery. It must not be used in vehicles with a start-stop system or regenerative braking. For this, you absolutely need an AGM or EFB battery.

How do I read the "Magic Eye"?

The indicator window on the lid shows the status: Green means "charge status OK". Black means "recharging required". White or light usually means "check" or "acid level too low/faulty" (replacement recommended).
