Do I have "thin" or "thick" terminals?

The YBX3057 has thin terminals (T3). The diameter of the positive terminal is approx. 14.7 mm (similar to the little finger). If your battery clamps are as thick as a thumb (approx. 19 mm), you need either terminal adapters or a different battery (e.g. YBX3057 with adapters or a model with thick terminals).

Will the battery fit if my old one was called 46B24L?

Yes, absolutely. The code 46B24L is the Japanese JIS code.
