What is the difference to the YBX3030?

The only difference is the pole arrangement.

• YBX3030: Positive terminal right (Layout 0).
• YBX3031: Positive terminal left (Layout 1). The dimensions and performance values are identical. As the battery cables in cars are usually not long enough to change sides, you must choose the correct version. Check: Is the red cable on the left? Then you need the YBX3031.

Will this battery fit my Toyota or Mazda?

The YBX3031 is one of the most common batteries for Asian mid-range vehicles and SUVs (e.g. Toyota Avensis Diesel, RAV4, Mazda 6 Diesel, Kia Sorento). If your vehicle requires a battery of size "D26L" (often found as a code on the old battery, e.g. 80D26L), this is the perfect replacement.

Is the battery suitable for start-stop?

No. The YBX3031 is a maintenance-free wet-cell battery. It must not be installed in vehicles with a start-stop system. The high cycle loads would quickly destroy the battery. For these vehicles you need an EFB battery (e.g. Yuasa YBX7031 or YBX7069).

Does the battery have a base strip?

No, it has the "N" (None) base strip version. As is usual with Asian vehicles, it is mostly fixed with a metal bracket over the lid and not clamped to the floor.
