What is the difference to the YBX1096?

The difference lies exclusively in the height.

• YBX1096: 190 mm high (Standard L3).
• YBX1100: 175 mm high (Low LB3). The length and width are the same. If you have little space above in your car (often with Ford/Opel), you must definitely use the flat YBX1100. If you have plenty of space, you can often use both (where the higher battery usually has slightly more capacity).

Is this battery suitable for start-stop?

No. The YBX1100 is a classic wet battery. It must not be used in vehicles with start-stop systems or regenerative braking. For this you need an EFB or AGM battery.

Will the battery fit if my old one was 60Ah, 70Ah or 72Ah?

Yes, as long as the dimensions (278x175x175 mm) fit. The ampere-hour value may vary slightly depending on manufacturer and series (e.g. 65Ah, 70Ah, 71Ah). The important thing is that the battery fits mechanically in the box and the pole arrangement (plus right) is correct.

Do I need to charge the battery on delivery?

The battery is supplied "filled and charged". It is ready for immediate use. For vehicles that are only used occasionally, or if the battery has stood for a long time before installation, a full charge with a charger is recommended to maximise its full service life.
