Is this battery suitable for start-stop cars?

No. The YBX1012 is a conventional wet battery. Vehicles with start-stop automatic must use EFB or AGM batteries, as these are more cycling resistant. Installing this battery in a start-stop car would lead to a very rapid defect.

Do I need to charge the battery after purchase?

The battery is supplied “filled and charged” and is basically ready for immediate use. If, however, the vehicle is used only occasionally or the battery was stored for a long period before installation, a brief top-up charge with a car battery charger is recommended to bring the state of charge to 100%.

Will the battery fit my car?

The dimensions 207x175x175 mm correspond to a very common size (often called LB1 or L1). It is often used in small vehicles such as Ford Fiesta, Opel Corsa, Fiat Punto or older VW Polos. Please be sure to compare the dimensions and terminal arrangement (positive terminal on the right) with your old battery.

What does the base ledge B13 mean?

B13 means that the battery has a mounting ledge (height 10.5 mm) all around the bottom. This is the standard for most European vehicles where the battery is fastened to the floor panel using a clamp.
