The XCELL XP7-12 is a valve-regulated AGM battery with 12 volts and 7 Ah nominal capacity (C20). It impresses with its compact dimensions, high operational reliability and long service life. Thanks to its robust design and low self-discharge, it is ideal for use in safety and emergency power systems, medical technology, measurement and control technology, telecommunications and numerous mobile and stationary applications.

Reliable power supply for a wide range of applications

The XCELL XP7-12 delivers constant performance even under demanding conditions. The AGM technology ensures efficient gas recombination, making the battery virtually maintenance-free. With a maximum discharge current capacity of 105 A (5 seconds), it is also suitable for applications with short-term peak loads.

Efficiency meets service life

In standby operation, the battery should be charged with a charging voltage of 2.25–2.30 V/cell. For cyclic operation, a charging voltage of 2.45–2.50 V/cell is recommended. The temperature compensation is –3 mV/cell/°C in standby operation and –4 mV/cell/°C in cycle operation. The recommended maximum current is 0.3C (approx. 2.1 A). In cycle use, depending on the depth of discharge, the battery achieves several hundred charge and discharge cycles.

Technology for flexible applications

The operating temperature range of the cells when charging is between –15 °C and +50 °C. When discharging, it is –20 °C to +60 °C and for storage –20 °C to +50 °C. T1 or T2 plug-in connections are available for the electrical connection. The recommended tightening torque for this is between 2 and 3 Newton metres. Each cell is additionally equipped with a safety valve, which further increases operational reliability.

For which applications is the XP7-12 ideally suited?

The XCELL XP7-12 is predestined for emergency power supply, safety and fire alarm systems, medical technology, telecommunications, measurement and control technology as well as mobile devices with cyclic energy requirements.

How cycle-resistant is the XP7-12?

At 30 % depth of discharge, the battery achieves over 1,000 charge and discharge cycles. At higher depths of discharge, the service life is reduced accordingly, but remains in the range of several hundred cycles.

What are the special safety features?

The battery is equipped with overpressure valves. Like all VRLA batteries, it can emit small amounts of hydrogen. It should therefore not be used in airtight enclosures and adequate ventilation must be ensured.

Which chargers are suitable for the XP7-12?

Chargers with constant voltage, designed for VRLA AGM batteries, are recommended. The correct setting of the charging voltage and temperature compensation is crucial for a long service life.

How is the battery installed?

The battery can be installed in any position except permanently upside down. The connection is made via T1 or T2 plug-in connectors with a tightening torque of 2–3 Nm.
