XCELL XP26-12 lead-acid battery with VdS approval - 12 V and 26 Ah
Product information
The XCELL XP26-12 is a powerful, maintenance-free 12-volt lead-acid battery with a capacity of 26 Ah (20-hour rate), characterised by its long service life. It has been specially developed for reliable, safety-critical and industrial applications. Thanks to its robust AGM technology and M5 inlay terminals, it delivers a high current output. The battery is also VdS-certified (G115073).
Highlights at a glance
- VdS approved: G 115073 for safety-related applications
- Powerful performance: 26 Ah capacity at a 20-hour discharge rate
- High current output: Up to 390 A discharge current (5 seconds)
- Long-lasting: Up to 5 years’ service life in standby mode at 25 °C
- Maintenance-free: Leak-proof AGM technology (VRLA)
Powerful performance for demanding applications
The XP26-12 ensures a constant and reliable power supply, even during short-term load peaks, with a discharge current of up to 390 A for 5 seconds. With its compact dimensions (165 × 176 × 127 mm) and low weight of approx. 7.9 kg, it is ideal for mobile devices, emergency power supply systems, telecommunications, safety lighting and other industrial applications.
Efficient and long-lasting power supply
AGM technology ensures maintenance-free operation with minimal self-discharge of less than 3% per month at 25 °C. A voltage of 13.60–13.80 V is recommended for continuous operation (float charging), whilst 14.50–14.90 V is ideal for cyclic operation. Integrated temperature compensation ensures the efficiency of the charging power regardless of the ambient temperature. The maximum charging power is 7.8 A.
Technology for reliable safety
The battery is fitted with a flame-retardant casing in accordance with UL94-HB/V0 and complies with international standards such as CE, UL and ISO 9001. The design allows for safe operation over several years in standby mode, provided proper maintenance is carried out and ambient temperature conditions are met. Even under difficult conditions, the battery maintains a stable capacity output, approximately 85% at 0 °C and 65% at –15 °C.
