XCELL LiFePO4 conversion kit 51.2 V / 100 Ah for Club Car Tempo | Lithium battery instead of lead-acid

Would you like to convert your Club Car Tempo to lithium? The XCELL LiFePO4 conversion kit with 51.2 V and 100 Ah is the ideal solution: specially configured for the Club Car Tempo, it replaces the conventional lead-acid battery system with a modern, high-performance LiFePO4 battery.

The 51.2 V battery combines long-life prismatic LiFePO4 cells, an integrated battery management system (BMS) and a robust IP65 housing to form a high-performance energy solution with a total capacity of 5.12 kWh, a long service life, minimal maintenance requirements and a high level of operational reliability. A local ON/OFF button, together with SOC, RUN and ALARM indicators, allows the operating status to be easily monitored directly on the unit.

The conversion kit is ideal for Club Car Tempo golf trolleys where the existing battery system is to be replaced with a modern lithium battery. The scope of delivery includes the central 51.2 V LiFePO4 battery and the matching mounting bracket for the battery compartment – for a straightforward conversion to a compact, high-performance lithium system.

Advantages of the XCELL LiFePO4 conversion kit for your golf trolley

High usable capacity for long journeys With a nominal voltage of 51.2 V, a capacity of 100 Ah and an energy content of 5.12 kWh, the LiFePO4 battery provides a powerful energy source for the Club Car Tempo’s electric drive. Compared with traditional lead-acid batteries, lithium iron phosphate batteries allow a significantly higher proportion of their available capacity to be utilised – resulting in a greater range per charge.

Over 4,000 charge cycles – durable and economical The LiFePO4 battery is designed for more than 4,000 charge cycles, with a calendar life of up to 10 years. This makes the battery system ideal for golf buggies and other applications involving frequent charging and discharging – and more cost-effective in the long term than repeatedly replacing lead-acid batteries.

High power output even under peak load The battery supports a maximum charging and discharging current of 100 A each; for short periods, discharging currents of up to 300 A are possible for 10 seconds. This ensures that sufficient power reserves are available even during brief periods of increased power demand – such as when climbing hills.

Integrated Battery Management System (BMS) for maximum safety The integrated BMS continuously monitors the lithium battery and provides reliable protection against:

  • Overcharging
  • Deep discharge
  • Overcurrent
  • Short circuit
  • excessively high temperatures
  • too low temperatures

Charging and discharging processes are monitored independently of one another, ensuring safe and reliable operation of the battery system.

Maintenance-free instead of labour-intensive lead-acid maintenance Unlike traditional lead-acid batteries, the LiFePO4 battery requires no regular maintenance. The central lithium battery simplifies handling and ensures a modern, clean and low-maintenance energy system in the Club Car Tempo.

Robust IP65 housing for continuous use The robust battery housing with IP65 protection is reliably protected against dust and water jets – ideal for the typical operating conditions of a golf trolley, whether on the course or off-road.

Perfectly tailored for Club Car Tempo The XCELL conversion kit has been specially developed for the Club Car Tempo. The supplied mounting bracket fits exactly into the existing battery compartment and allows the central 51.2 V LiFePO4 battery to be securely integrated into the vehicle – without the need for complex modifications.

Compatible with the original charger The XCELL conversion kit works with the original Club Car charger featuring a Li-ion charging function. This typically charges the battery to around 85 % – a reduced maximum charge which can have a positive effect on calendar ageing and thus the long-term service life of the battery.

For customers who wish to utilise the full battery capacity, we also stock the KINKP1200DR48 Li-ion charger, which is specifically designed for lithium batteries. This charger allows the battery to be charged to 100 % when required.
