Description

Product information

The Vision 6FM36DX is a robust, cycle-resistant lead-acid battery (VRLA) with a nominal voltage of 12 volts and a capacity of 36 ampere hours. It is specially designed for demanding applications with recurring charging and discharging cycles. Thanks to the AGM technology (Absorbent Glass Mat), this battery offers reliable, leak-proof and long-lasting power. It is the ideal solution for systems that require high cycle stability and deep discharges, and is ideally suited for both cyclic and standby operation.

Highlights at a glance

  • Cycle resistant: Developed for a high number of charge and discharge cycles.
  • High capacity: 36 Ah at 12 V (20-hour rate) for a long-lasting power supply.
  • Maintenance-free: Thanks to the leak-proof AGM technology.
  • Low self-discharge: Only approx. 3 % capacity loss per month at 20 °C.
  • Flexible installation: Operation is possible in various positions, except for permanent overhead installation.
  • Durable: A service life of up to 10 years in the design life.

Strong performance for cyclic applications

The 6FM36DX reliably delivers power in recurring discharge cycles. Its capacity is 36 Ah for a 20-hour discharge and 33 Ah for a 10-hour discharge. Thanks to the special lead-calcium-tin alloy of the grids, it enables high resistance to cycles and excellent recovery after deep discharge.

Robust technology for demanding environments

Thanks to the VRLA technology with AGM system, the 6FM36DX is absolutely maintenance-free and leak-proof. The electrolyte is securely enclosed in a glass fibre mat, which enables safe handling and operation in any position. The battery is equipped with self-closing low-pressure vent valves that ensure pressure equalisation within the cells. The case is made of robust ABS plastic, which is also available as a flame-retardant version (UL94:V0) on request. The low self-discharge rate of around 3 % per month enables long-term storage with high readiness for use.

FAQs for VISION 6FM36DX lead-acid battery

What applications is the 6FM36DX best suited for?

This battery was specifically developed for cyclic applications where the battery is regularly discharged and recharged. It is ideal as a main power supply for electric vehicles such as wheelchairs and golf caddies, as well as for use in solar systems, telecommunication systems and mobile measuring equipment.

What does "cycle resistant" mean?

A cycle-resistant battery is specifically designed to cope with a high number of charge and discharge cycles without significantly losing capacity or service life. This distinguishes it from conventional lead batteries, which are more designed for standby operation.

How do I charge the battery correctly?

We recommend using a charger designed for AGM batteries with a capacity of 36 Ah. Observe the voltages recommended by the manufacturer: 13.6 V to 13.8 V for float charge operations and 14.4 V to 14.7 V for cycle charging operations. Excessive charging current can shorten the service life of the battery.

How long does the 6FM36DX battery last?

The service life of the battery is up to 10 years at 20 °C in the design life. However, the actual life depends heavily on the individual operating conditions, the depth of discharge and the ambient temperature. For example, over 650 cycles can be achieved with 50 % depth of discharge, and even over 1500 cycles at 30 % depth of discharge.
