What does "High Drain" mean?

"High Drain" means that the battery is designed for devices with high energy demand. It can supply high current for short periods, as required for example for display illumination or a signal sound. "Low Drain" batteries (with the suffix SW), on the other hand, are optimised for devices with very low, constant current consumption such as simple watches.

Is this battery compatible with the designation SR58W?

The Varta 361 corresponds to the internationally standardised IEC designation SR721W. The designation SR58W is not standardised. Please check the number on your old battery. If it says 361 or SR721W, this is the correct and suitable replacement.

What is the difference between a V361 (SR721W) and a V362 (SR721SW)?

Both are high-quality silver oxide batteries of the same size. However, the V361 is designed as a "High Drain" version for devices with higher current consumption (e.g. watches with illumination). The V362 (SR721SW) is a "Low Drain" version especially optimised for the low, constant current consumption of simple wristwatches and provides maximum efficiency there.
