The capacity of size 312 is exactly in between the small 10 and large 13 battery. On average, it lasts about 5 to 10 days. This is the most common mistake. It is a Lithium primary battery (disposable). Never attempt to charge this battery in a charger (risk of explosion). If you are looking for rechargeable 9V batteries, you need "NiMH" or "Li-Ion batteries" (often 8.4V or 7.4V).Does it fit mechanically in every device?Yes, the U9VLJP corresponds to the standard size ANSI 1604. In very rare cases with very old devices, the battery compartment can be extremely tightly tolerated, as alkaline batteries have rounded corners, while the Ultralife is somewhat more "angular" (see picture). However, it fits perfectly in 99.9 % of modern devices (smoke detectors, multimeters, toys).Why is it so much more expensive than an alkaline battery?The higher price is offset by the service life.
