The core of the PulsesPlus battery is its hybrid design. The high-energy Li-SOCl₂ primary cell serves as a long-term energy store and constantly charges the parallel-connected hybrid layer capacitor (HLC). If the application requires a high current pulse, this is supplied directly by the HLC and not by the primary cell. This intelligent system protects the primary cell from heavy loads, prevents the typical voltage drop caused by passivation, and thus ensures stable voltage and maximum service life.
