In REACTIVE LIGHTING® mode, a sensor continuously analyses the ambient light and immediately adjusts the brightness and the shape of the light beam. What exactly does HYBRID CONCEPT mean?

HYBRID CONCEPT means that the lamp can be operated with two different energy sources. You can either use the three standard AAA batteries supplied or insert the rechargeable PETZL CORE battery (sold separately) without the need for an adapter.

Is the CORE battery included in the scope of delivery?

No, this standard "ACTIK" model comes with three AAA batteries included. The PETZL CORE battery is available as a separate accessory and enables rechargeable use of the lamp.

What is the red light used for?

The red light is used to maintain the eye’s dark adaptation. It dazzles other people in a group less and is ideal for use in camps, huts or for night-time tasks where night vision must be maintained.

What does the IPX4 protection rating mean?

IPX4 means that the headlamp is protected against splashing water from all directions. It can be used in rain or damp environments without any problems but is not suitable for immersion in water (diving).
