Revolutionary comfort with AIRFIT

The innovative AIRFIT headband is the core of the PETZL IKO. The semi-rigid band reduces the contact surface to a minimum and provides a secure grip without pressure points. It does not soak up sweat or rain (hydrophobic) and can be adjusted quickly and precisely at the back of the head. The ultra-thin lamp housing and the rear-mounted energy pack ensure perfectly balanced weight distribution.

Flexible energy and optimum illumination

Thanks to the PETZL HYBRID CONCEPT, you have the choice: Operate the lamp with the supplied AAA batteries for maximum availability or upgrade to the separately available PETZL CORE battery. The lamp detects the power source automatically. Several LEDs offer a wide or combined beam for optimum visibility up close and at a distance.

Maximum versatility in use

The IKO is more than just a headlamp. Thanks to its unique design, it can be worn comfortably around the neck to keep your head free. In the supplied transport bag, it can also be transformed into a lantern to provide diffuse, pleasant light in a tent or workshop. A LOCK function prevents unintentional switching on during transport.

What is the main difference between the IKO and the ACTIK series?

The main difference is the AIRFIT headband and the weight. At 90g, the IKO is significantly lighter and the semi-rigid band offers a different wearing comfort than the classic textile band of the ACTIK. The energy pack on the IKO is also located at the back of the head, which improves the balance.

Is the CORE battery included in the delivery?

No, with this standard "IKO" model, three AAA batteries are included. The PETZL CORE battery is available as a separate accessory and allows rechargeable operation of the lamp. The "IKO CORE" model includes the battery.

What does the protection rating IPX4 mean?

IPX4 means that the headlamp is protected against splashing water from all directions. It can be used in the rain or in damp environments without problems, but is not suitable for submersion in water (diving).

How does the lantern function work?

The lamp is supplied with a special transport bag. If you put the switched-on lamp in this bag and hang it up, the bag diffuses the light and creates a glare-free all-round illumination, similar to a small lantern.
