Petzl IKO CORE headlamp 500 lumen

Description

Product information

The PETZL IKO CORE is a revolutionary, ultra-light, and rechargeable headlamp that combines innovative technology with maximum wearing comfort. Its patented AIRFIT headband offers an unmatched, barely noticeable fit. With a high luminosity of 500 lumens and the included PETZL CORE battery, it is the premium solution for dynamic activities such as running or climbing as well as for professional users for whom every gram counts.

Highlights at a glance

  • AIRFIT headband: Innovative, semi-rigid band for excellent hold and comfort, without suction effect (hydrophobic).
  • Ultra-light and balanced: Barely noticeable at just 79 grams, energy pack at the back of the head for perfect weight distribution.
  • Strong luminosity: 500 lumens for clear and far-reaching illumination.
  • Includes CORE battery: Supplied with the rechargeable PETZL CORE battery for maximum economy.
  • HYBRID CONCEPT: Flexible operation, either with CORE battery or three AAA batteries (sold separately).
  • Versatile carrying options: Can be used on the head, around the neck or as a lantern in the carrying bag.

Revolutionary comfort with AIRFIT

The innovative AIRFIT headband is the core of the PETZL IKO CORE. The semi-rigid band reduces the contact area to a minimum and provides a secure hold without pressure points. It does not absorb sweat or rain (hydrophobic) and can be adjusted quickly and precisely at the back of the head. The ultra-thin lamp housing and the rear-mounted energy pack ensure a perfectly balanced weight distribution.

Rechargeable power and optimum illumination

As a CORE model, this headlamp is supplied with the PETZL CORE lithium-ion battery. This is simply charged via the integrated Micro-USB port. Thanks to HYBRID CONCEPT, you can also use three standard AAA batteries in emergencies. Several LEDs provide a wide or combined light beam for optimum visibility in the near and far range.

Maximum versatility in use

The IKO CORE is more than just a headlamp. Thanks to its unique design, it can be worn comfortably around the neck to keep your head free. In the supplied carrying bag, it can also be transformed into a lantern to provide diffuse, pleasant light in a tent or workshop. A LOCK function prevents accidental activation during transport.

FAQs about the PETZL IKO CORE headlamp

What is the difference between the IKO CORE and the standard IKO?

The main difference is the luminosity and the delivery scope. The IKO CORE (this model) has 500 lumens and the rechargeable CORE battery is already included. The standard IKO has 350 lumens and is supplied with AAA batteries (the CORE battery can be retrofitted).

Can I still use normal batteries?

Yes. Thanks to HYBRID CONCEPT, you can remove the included CORE battery and operate the lamp with three standard AAA/LR03 batteries instead. This offers maximum flexibility if no charging option is available.

What does the IPX4 protection class mean?

IPX4 means that the headlamp is protected against splashing water from all directions. It can be used in rain or damp environments without any problems, but it is not suitable for submersion in water (diving).

How does the lantern function work?

The lamp is supplied with a special carrying bag. If you put the switched-on lamp in this bag and hang it up, the bag diffuses the light and creates a glare-free, all-round illumination, similar to a small lantern.

VISCP12180DX
Vision Lead-acid battery CP12180DX Cyclic with 12V and 18Ah

The Vision CP12180DX is a high-performance, cycle-proof and valve-regulated lead-acid battery (VRLA) with 12 Volt nominal voltage and 18 Ah capacity. This battery has been specially developed for demanding cyclic use, where regular and deep discharge is the norm. Equipped with sturdy, maintenance-free AGM technology, it is the ideal energy source for mobile applications in rehabilitation technology, for electric vehicles or for leisure use.Highlights at a GlanceHigh cycle stability: Designed for a long service life during repeated, deep discharge and recharging.Strong capacity: 18 Ah at 12 V for enduring and reliable energy supply for mobile consumers.Maintenance-free AGM technology: The advanced AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology ensures a leak-proof and maintenance-free operation.High power density: Offers a lot of energy in a compact and widely used housing format.Flexible mounting: Operation possible in all positions, except for permanent upside-down use.Low self-discharge: Enables longer shelf life with no significant capacity loss. Strong Performance for Cyclical ApplicationsThe Vision CP12180DX reliably delivers a capacity of 18 Ah with a 20-hour discharge. Its construction is specifically designed for cyclic operation, which gives it high resistance to the stresses of constant charging and discharging. This makes it the perfect choice for electric wheelchairs, golf caddies, e-scooters and other electric vehicles where maximum cycle life and reliability are important.Robust Technology for Demanding EnvironmentsThanks to the VRLA technology (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) in conjunction with the AGM system, where the electrolyte is safely held in a glass fibre mat, the CP12180DX is fully sealed, leak-proof and vibration-resistant. The low internal resistance allows efficient energy delivery even at higher currents. The housing made from robust ABS plastic reliably protects the internal components from mechanical loads in daily mobile use and ensures a long, safe service life.Properties  ModelVision CP12180DX Cyclic Battery typeVRLA AGM (cycle-proof) Nominal voltage (V)12 Capacity (Ah)18 (at 20h rate) Maximum discharge current270A (for 5 seconds) Charging voltage (float charging)13.5V - 13.8V Charging voltage (cyclic operation)14.4V - 15.0V Operating temperature (°C)Charge: 0 ~ 40 / Discharge: -20 ~ 50 Storage temperature (°C)-20 ~ 40 Service lifeapprox. 1800 cycles at 30% depth of discharge Dimensions (L/W/H, mm)181 x 77 x 167 Weight (kg)approx. 5.5 ConnectionM5 screw terminal CertificationsISO9001, ISO14001, CE, UL  FAQs about the Vision CP12180DX Lead-Acid BatteryFor which applications is the CP12180DX suitable? The battery is ideally suited for a wide variety of demanding cyclic applications:Electric wheelchairs, mobility scooters and scootersGolf caddies and other lightweight electric vehiclesMedical devices such as patient liftsMobile cleaning machinesApplications in marine and camping areasIs the battery maintenance-free?Yes, thanks to the sealed AGM technology, the battery is completely maintenance-free. No topping up with distilled water is required and it is protected against leakage. What is the difference to a standard AGM battery? The CP12180DX is designed as a cycle-proof battery. It uses reinforced lead plates and special additives, which make it more resistant to the stresses of deep discharges. A standard AGM battery is usually optimised for standby use (e.g. in UPS systems) and would lose capacity more quickly with cyclic use.Can the battery be installed flexibly?Yes, the battery can be operated in all positions, except for permanent upside-down mounting. This enables flexible installation in a wide variety of devices and vehicles. What charging parameters apply to this battery?Cyclic charging voltage (20 °C): approx. 14.4 V to 15.0 V.Float charge voltage (20 °C): approx. 13.5 V to 13.8 V.Maximum charging current: The recommended maximum charging current is 5.4 A. Using a suitable charger is crucial for a long service life. Can two of these batteries be connected to form a 24V system?Yes, you can easily connect two CP12180DX batteries in series to create a 24V system. This is a very common configuration in electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Please always use two new, identical batteries for this purpose.
