Nitecore P20i UV Tactical torch 1800 lumen with UV light

Description

Product information

The Nitecore P20i UV is an intelligent, tactical torch of the latest i-generation that combines extreme white light performance with a professional UV light. With a maximum brightness of 1800 lumens and four integrated UV LEDs, it is the ultimate tool for emergency services, bouncers, document examiners and forensic experts. Powered by the powerful 21700 i-Series rechargeable battery and equipped with patented STROBE READY technology, it offers uncompromising operational readiness and versatility.

Highlights at a glance

  • Dual light system: Combines 1800 lumens white light with 320 mW UV light (365 nm) in one reflector.
  • Enormous range: The white light achieves a lighting range of up to 337 metres.
  • Professional UV light: 4 UV LEDs for checking ID cards, banknotes or searching for traces.
  • STROBE READY: Patented dual switch at the end of the lamp for instant access to strobe mode.
  • i-Series Power: Includes modern 21700 Li-Ion battery (4000 mAh) for long runtimes and high performance.
  • USB-C Rechargeable: Integrated charging port with waterproof cover for fast charging.
  • Tactically robust: Housing made of aerospace aluminium, glass-breaker bezel with silicon nitride ceramic inlays.

Two specialists in one lamp

The P20i UV bridges the gap between a tactical torch and a special tool. The white main light brightly illuminates places of use and blinds potential attackers. By simply switching you activate the UV light (365 nm wavelength). This is indispensable for checking security features on documents and currency, forensic examination of bodily fluids or leak detection with fluorescent agents.

Intuitive operation under stress

The operating concept has been optimised for stressful situations. The tactical main switch is used for switching on and off as well as for momentary light. The recessed "Mode" switch (STROBE READY) allows instant access to the disorienting strobe mode at any time – even when the torch is switched off. In addition, the brightness levels can be selected using this switch.

Intelligent power supply

The P20i UV utilises Nitecore's revolutionary 21700 i-series battery technology. This enables highly efficient power delivery for maximum performance. The supplied NL2140i battery (4000 mAh) is charged directly inside the lamp via the USB-C port. An LED display on the lamp head precisely shows the remaining battery voltage. Alternatively, with the included magazine, the lamp can also be operated with two CR123A batteries.

FAQs about the Nitecore P20i UV

Can I use normal 21700 or 18650 batteries?

No. The P20i UV strictly requires the proprietary Nitecore i-Series 21700 batteries (recognisable by positive and negative poles on both sides), to power the electronics and the dual switch. Conventional 21700 or 18650 batteries do not work. However, two CR123A batteries can be used with the included adapter.

What is the 365 nm UV light used for?

UV light with a wavelength of 365 nm is the professional standard (in contrast to cheaper 395 nm light). It optimally excites fluorescent materials, while the visible violet component remains low. Ideal for document inspection, banknote authentication and forensic applications.

What is STROBE READY?

This is a patented technology from Nitecore. A separate, flat switch at the end of the lamp allows instant access to strobe mode, no matter what state the lamp is in (even from the off state). This is essential for tactical applications for self-defence or signalling.

Is the torch compatible with the RSW2i remote switch?

Yes, the P20i UV has the standardised USB-C port of the i-Series and is compatible with the Nitecore RSW2i cable switch, which also makes it interesting for mounting on weapons or equipment.
