Low-voltage PV storage set: Deye SUN-6kW 3-phase hybrid inverter, 1x Deye SE-F5C Pro 5.12 kWh
Product information
The compact all-in-one package for your solar power
This low-voltage storage kit from Deye combines the three-phase hybrid inverter SUN-6K-SG05LP3-EU-SM2 with a SE-F5C Pro lithium iron phosphate battery module with 5.12 kWh capacity. The set is ideal for detached houses with small to medium-sized PV systems and moderate electricity consumption. The inverter and battery are optimally matched in terms of power output: the battery can deliver a continuous output of around 5.1 kW, thereby utilising a large proportion of the inverter’s capacity. As both components are from the same manufacturer and communicate directly via CAN or RS485, installation and commissioning are particularly straightforward. And if your requirements grow, you can simply expand the storage system with additional modules.
Deye SUN-6K-SG05LP3-EU-SM2: Efficient and versatile
The hybrid inverter delivers a rated output of 6 kW (max. 6.6 kVA) in three-phase mode and supports a PV connection capacity of up to 12 kWp, the maximum DC input power is 9 kW. Two MPP trackers, each with a 20 A input current and a wide voltage range of 200 to 650 V, ensure maximum yield even from roofs with varying orientations, such as east/west. With an efficiency of up to 97.6 % and an MPPT efficiency of over 99 %, virtually no energy is lost.
For the battery, up to 135 A of charging and discharging current are available. In the event of a power cut, the inverter continues to supply your home in off-grid mode, providing three-phase power from the battery and PV system, whilst briefly delivering double the rated power for 10 seconds. The 100 % asymmetrical output allows up to 50 % of the rated power per phase, which is a real advantage in everyday life where loads are unevenly distributed.
Furthermore, the inverter offers AC coupling for retrofitting existing PV systems, the integration of a diesel generator, six freely configurable time slots for charging and discharging (ideal for dynamic electricity tariffs), and the parallel connection of up to 10 units in both on-grid and off-grid operation. The IP65-rated housing allows for an operating temperature range of -40 to +60 °C, and at under 55 dB(A), the unit operates pleasantly quietly. The grid connection complies with VDE-AR-N 4105.
Deye SE-F5C Pro: Safe LiFePO4 battery with display
The SE-F5C Pro module utilises long-lasting and thermally stable lithium iron phosphate cells (LiFePO4) and offers 5.12 kWh at 51.2 V and 100 Ah. The C version features a display for direct viewing of the battery status. The advanced BMS with active fuse and the integrated circuit breaker ensure comprehensive protection.
With at least 6,000 cycles, a guaranteed energy throughput of 16 MWh and a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty the storage system is designed for long-term, cost-effective operation. The module supports a continuous current of 100 A (1C) and a peak current of 150 A for 120 seconds. The storage system can be expanded to up to 32 modules in parallel (or even 64 with a CAN box) and can be mounted on the wall, on the floor or stacked. Using the optional Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module and the Deye app, you can monitor the battery locally or remotely, together with the inverter.
Your benefits at a glance
You receive a complete, optimally balanced system from a single source, with 6 kW three-phase power, up to 12 kWp PV connection capacity and 5.12 kWh storage capacity. The system is capable of providing emergency power, the LiFePO4 technology with a 10-year warranty ensures longevity, and the storage system scales flexibly to meet your needs. The 48 V low-voltage technology also offers greater safety during installation and maintenance than high-voltage systems.

FAQs on the Deye low-voltage PV storage kit 6 kW inverter with 5.12 kWh storage
Which households is this kit suitable for?
The kit is suitable for detached houses with a three-phase mains connection, a PV system of up to approximately 12 kWp and moderate electricity consumption, such as smaller families or couples. A 5.12 kWh storage unit typically covers a good portion of evening consumption. For larger PV systems or higher consumption, we also offer kits featuring the 8 kW inverter and up to three storage modules.
Are the inverter and battery compatible in terms of power output?
Yes, very well. An SE-F5 Pro module delivers up to 100 A continuously, which corresponds to around 5.1 kW. This means the battery can cover the majority of the 6 kW inverter output. The BMS automatically communicates the battery’s limit values to the inverter, ensuring the system always operates within safe parameters. With a second module, the inverter’s full battery current of 135 A can be utilised.
How much PV capacity can I connect to the inverter?
The SUN-6K-SG05LP3-EU-SM2 supports a PV connected load of up to 12 kWp, the maximum DC input power is 9 kW. The modules are distributed across two MPP trackers, each with one string, with an input current of up to 20 A per tracker and an MPPT voltage range of 200 to 650 V. The maximum DC input voltage of 800 V must not be exceeded, even at low temperatures, which is why string planning should be carried out by a specialist contractor.
How much storage capacity is actually available?
The capacity is 5.12 kWh. Deye recommends a depth of discharge of 90 %, which provides around 4.6 kWh of usable energy for everyday use. This reserve protects the cells and extends their service life.
Does the system still work during a power cut?
Yes. In the event of a power cut, the hybrid inverter can continue to operate in off-grid mode and supply your home with three-phase power from the battery and the PV system. In the absence of sunlight, the battery provides a continuous output of around 5 kW, and the stored energy is sufficient to power essential appliances such as the fridge, heating control, lighting and router. During the day, the PV system can supply additional electricity and recharge the battery. This requires the emergency power consumers to be wired appropriately during installation.
How do I expand the storage capacity later?
Additional SE-F5 Pro modules are simply connected in parallel and linked to the existing module via the communication ports (IN/OUT). Up to 32 modules are possible, with a CAN box, this can be increased to 64. To ensure smooth operation, it is recommended that you use modules of the same design and have the expansion carried out by a specialist contractor.
Can I install the battery outdoors or in the garage?
The inverter has an IP65 protection rating and is suitable for outdoor installation. The battery module, on the other hand, has an IP21 protection rating and should be installed in a dry indoor location, such as a cellar or utility room. Please also note that the battery can only be charged at temperatures between 0 and 55 °C; charging is therefore restricted in unheated rooms where frost is a risk.
How long does the battery last?
Deye specifies a cycle life of at least 6,000 cycles (at 25 °C down to 70 % remaining capacity). Based on one full cycle per day, this equates to over 16 years. In addition, Deye offers a 10-year warranty or 16 MWh of energy throughput, the manufacturer’s warranty terms and conditions apply.
Can I retrofit an existing PV system?
Yes. The inverter supports AC coupling, meaning that an existing PV system with its own inverter can be integrated. This also allows an older system, for example once EEG subsidies have ended, to be supplemented with a storage unit.
Can I connect a generator?
Yes, the inverter supports the integration of a diesel generator, for example for off-grid applications or as an additional safeguard during prolonged power cuts.
How do I monitor my system?
Using an optional data logger module (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G, GPRS or LAN), the system can be monitored via the Deye app. The battery can also be checked locally via Bluetooth, without the need for an internet connection. The app displays generation, consumption, grid draw, feed-in and charge status in real time.
