The KingPan 24V / 4A charger is a high-quality, fully automatic charger for lead-acid, AGM and gel batteries. The outstanding feature of this model is the fanless design (Fanless). As there are no moving parts for cooling, the device operates absolutely silently and is also resistant to dust, moisture, and mechanical wear.
The robust aluminium housing acts as an efficient heat sink. Thanks to the intelligent charging curve, it is particularly well suited for gentle charging of electric wheelchairs, mobility scooters, or golf trolleys, which are often charged overnight in living spaces where fan noise would be disturbing.

Installation & safety instructions
- Heat generation: As the charger does not have a fan, the heat is dissipated via the aluminium housing. In operation, the unit can become very warm to hot (approx. 40-50°C). This is normal. Never cover the charger and do not place it on heat-sensitive surfaces (carpet).
- Ventilation: Ensure there is free air circulation around the device (convection).
- Connection sequence: Always connect the charging plug to the device (wheelchair/scooter) first and only then plug the mains plug into the socket.
- Plug check: Before ordering, always check the polarity and connector type (usually 3-pin XLR: Pin 1 = Plus, Pin 2 = Minus), as there are various versions.

FAQs about the KingPan 24V/4A (fanless)
Can I use this charger for lithium batteries?
No, definitely not. This charger is specially programmed for the charging curve of lead-based batteries (gel/AGM/acid). Lithium batteries (Li-Ion/LiFePO4) require a completely different cut-off logic and safety monitoring. Using it on lithium batteries can cause a fire risk.
My old charger was 24V and 5A. Can I use this 4A charger?
Yes. Charging will just take a little longer (around 20% more time), but this is often even better for battery longevity. The only important factor is that the voltage (24V) matches.
Why is the housing made of metal and not plastic?
With fanless chargers, the heat generated by the electronics must be passively dissipated. Aluminium conducts heat excellently. A plastic housing would trap heat and cause the electronics to overheat.
