The Felicity Solar FLA48230-EU is a high-performance lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) home battery system in the low-voltage range (48V). Installation & Safety Instructions

• Weight warning: With over 100 kg This storage unit is extremely heavy. The wall bracket must be anchored into load-bearing masonry (concrete/brick). Installation on plasterboard walls is not possible without substantial reinforcement. Use a pallet truck or lifting platform for installation.
• Cable cross-section: Due to the high currents (up to 120A), battery cables should have a cross-section of at least 35mm², better 50 mm² to minimise voltage drops.
• DIP switches: When communicating with the inverter (particularly Deye/Victron), the DIP switches on the communication port must be set correctly to specify the BMS protocol.

FAQs on the Felicity FLA48230-EU

Does this battery work with the Deye SUN-12K-SG04LP3?

Yes, excellent. This is one of the most common combinations. The battery is connected via CAN bus. In the Deye inverter, you usually select ‘Lithium Mode’ and the protocol ‘00’ (or ‘12’ for Felicity, depending on the firmware), and the system automatically recognises the 230Ah battery.

Can I retrofit two of these batteries at a later date?

Yes. You can connect several FLA48230 units in parallel. In doing so, one battery is configured as the ‘master’ (DIP switch 1 ON) and the others as ‘slaves’. Important: When connecting the batteries in parallel, they should have the same voltage (same state of charge) to avoid high equalisation currents.

Why does the name include ‘EU’?

The “EU” model is specifically certified for the European market (CE, UN38.3, MSDS) and complies with the applicable safety standards. The instructions and support are often tailored to European retailers as well.
