The Felicity Solar FLA48230-EU is a powerful lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) home storage system in the low-voltage range (48V). With an impressive capacity of 11.8 kWh in a single housing, this model is aimed at homeowners who want to realise a large storage capacity in a small space and with minimal cabling.

In contrast to modular systems, where you often have to stack two to three modules for 10-12 kWh, the FLA48230-EU offers this energy in a single, wall-mountable block. It is particularly popular in combination with Deye, Growatt or Victron inverters and is characterised by an excellent price-performance ratio.

Installation & safety instructions

  • Weight warning: With over 100 kg this storage system is extremely heavy. The wall bracket must be anchored in load-bearing masonry (concrete/brick). Installation on plasterboard walls is not possible without solid reinforcement. Use a pallet truck or lift for installation.
  • Cable cross-section: Due to the high currents (up to 120A), battery cables with at least 35mm², better 50mm² can be used to minimise voltage drops.
  • DIP switch: When communicating with the inverter (esp. Deye/Victron), the DIP switches on the communication port must be set correctly to define the BMS protocol.

FAQs for the Felicity FLA48230-EU

Does this battery work with the Deye SUN-12K-SG04LP3?

Yes, excellent. This is one of the most common combinations. The battery is connected via CAN bus. In the Deye inverter, you usually select "Lithium Mode" and the protocol "00" (or "12" for Felicity, depending on the firmware), and the system automatically recognises the 230Ah.

Can I retrofit two of these batteries later?

Yes. You can connect several FLA48230s in parallel. One battery is configured as the "master" (DIP switch 1 ON) and the others as "slaves". Important: The batteries should have the same voltage (same state of charge) when they are connected in order to avoid high equalising currents.

Why is "EU" in the name?

The "EU" model is specifically certified for the European market (CE, UN38.3, MSDS) and complies with the applicable safety standards. The instructions and support are often also orientated towards European dealers.
