Energizer Ultimate lithium battery L91 AA 1.5V (blister pack of 2) - L91ULTIMATEB2

Description

Product information

The Energizer Ultimate Lithium L91 (size AA / Mignon) in a compact Blister pack of 2 is the ideal packaging size for devices that are charged in pairs, such as many digital cameras, handheld GPS devices or smart home cameras. It is considered the world's longest-lasting AA battery in high-tech devices. Thanks to the superior lithium iron sulphide chemistry (LiFeS2), it offers an extremely stable voltage level, weighs a third less than alkaline batteries and withstands extreme temperatures at which standard batteries fail long ago.

Highlights at a glance

  • The world's longest-lasting AA battery: Offers unrivalled endurance in energy-hungry devices and lasts up to 11 times longer than standard alkaline batteries in digital cameras, for example.
  • 20 years shelf life: The extremely low self-discharge guarantees that the batteries are still ready for use even after two decades of storage - perfect as an iron reserve.
  • Extreme temperature range: Works reliably from Siberian -40 °C to desert-like +60 °C, making it the standard solution for outdoor sensors and surveillance cameras in winter.
  • Ultralight: Weighs approx. 33 % less than an alkaline battery (approx. 14.5 g vs. 23 g), which noticeably reduces the carrying weight of headlamps and handheld GPS devices.
  • Leakproof: The advanced design prevents leakage of liquids and thus protects valuable electronics from corrosion damage in the long term.
  • 100 % compatible: It has the exact dimensions of a standard AA battery and delivers 1.5 volts, so it can directly replace any standard "Mignon" battery.

The standard for Blink cameras & GPS

This 2-pack is perfectly tailored to the needs of devices that usually require two cells. These include above all the popular Blink outdoor cameras (Amazon), which explicitly require 1.5V lithium batteries to achieve the specified runtime of 2 years. Also for Garmin handheld GPS (e.g. GPSMAP, eTrex), it is ideal as it makes the device lighter and works reliably even in sub-zero temperatures on the mountain.

FAQs about Energizer Ultimate Lithium L91

Why is this battery so expensive compared to alkaline?

The price reflects the more sophisticated lithium technology and performance. As a Energizer lithium can be used in high-tech devices up to 11x longer than a standard alkaline battery, you will need to buy new batteries much less often. If you calculate the costs per picture (for cameras) or per hour of operation, the lithium battery is often even cheaper - and you save yourself the trouble of constantly changing batteries.

Can I use them in an LED torch?

Yes, absolutely. It is actually highly recommended. Firstly, the torch is lighter and secondly, the brightness remains more constant over the life of the battery (flatter discharge curve). In addition, the torch continues to run even when it is left in a cold car in winter (-20 °C), whereas an alkaline battery often fails in such conditions.

Is it dangerous?

No, it is very safe when used properly. It has integrated safety valves (PTC) that interrupt the current flow in the event of a short circuit to prevent overheating. However, as with all lithium batteries: Do not dispose of in fire, do not open and do not recharge.

Does it fit in the Apple Magic Mouse?

Yes, the older generation of the Apple Magic Mouse (which still requires batteries) uses 2x AA batteries. The Energizer L91 is perfect for this, as it makes the mouse lighter, which reduces gliding resistance and is easier on the wrist. It also lasts significantly longer than the standard batteries supplied.
