FAQs about the DEEPBLUE 5-in-1 combination self-test

What do the different lines on the test cassette mean?

The cassette has a control field (C) and five test fields (e.g. S for SARS-CoV-2, A for influenza A, etc.). The C line must always appear for the test to be valid. If an additional line appears in one of the test fields, this indicates a probable infection with the corresponding pathogen.

What should I do if I get a positive result?

A positive result indicates a high probability of infection. In this case, it is strongly recommended to contact a doctor, a pharmacy or the public health department to discuss the result, confirm it with a PCR test if necessary and coordinate further measures (such as treatment or isolation).

How reliable is the test result?

Rapid antigen tests offer high reliability, especially for people with a high viral load (in the first few days after the onset of symptoms). The exact values for sensitivity and specificity can be found in the package leaflet. A negative result does not completely rule out an infection, especially if you have symptoms.

Can I also use the test on children?

Yes, but sample collection from children should always be performed or supervised by an adult. Please follow the instructions in the instructions for use exactly.

A plain surgical mask (medical mouth and nose protection) is primarily for external protection and only offers the wearer limited protection against fine aerosols. What does the "CE 2890" marking mean? The CE marking confirms that the product complies with EU regulations. The four-digit number 2890 identifies the independent notified body (in this case the "DGUV Test Prüf- und Zertifizierungsstelle" in Germany) that has tested and certified the mask in accordance with applicable standards. This is a key quality and safety feature. How do I put on the mask correctly? An FFP2 mask only provides optimal protection if it sits snugly on the face. Hold the mask with the nose clip upwards, place it over mouth and nose and hook the ear straps on. Then press the nose clip firmly onto your nose with both index fingers so that it fits the shape of your face. Check the seal by exhaling forcefully. No air should leak from the edges. How long can I wear an FFP2 mask? The "NR" marking means "Non-Reusable" and indicates that the mask is intended for single use or for the duration of one work shift (maximum 8 hours). If the mask becomes moist, it should be changed earlier as this impairs the filter function.

It is ideal for use in doctors' surgeries, hospitals, care facilities and dental surgeries. It also offers reliable protection in all professional fields with customer contact, such as cosmetics, retail and service businesses.Advanced and skin-friendly materialThe mask consists of a 3-layer structure made of high-quality non-woven materials. The outer layer is liquid-repellent and protects against splashes. The middle layer (meltblown nonwoven) acts as a highly efficient filter for particles and bacteria. The inner layer is particularly soft, moisture-absorbent and skin-friendly to minimise skin irritation even when worn for long periods.Tested quality and safetyThis surgical mask is a tested and approved medical device that fulfils the strict requirements of the European standard EN 14683. It offers tested protection and is manufactured under strict quality controls to ensure consistently high product quality and maximum user safety. The masks are supplied in a practical dispenser box, which enables hygienic removal of the individual masks. Features  ModelSuavel Protect surgical mask ClassificationType IIR Bacterial filtration efficiency (BFE)≥ 98% Splash guardYes (resistant to liquid splashes) Material3-layer fleece FeaturesAdjustable nose clip, elasticated ear loops Standard / CertificationEN 14683:2019, CE marking Packaging unit50 pieces per box  FAQs on Suavel Protect surgical masks type IIRWhat is the difference between type II and type IIR?Both mask types offer a high bacterial filtration efficiency of at least 98%. The key difference is the splash protection. The suffix "R" for type IIR stands for "Resistance" and means that the mask is also splash-proof. It therefore also protects the wearer from potentially contaminated liquid splashes, which is particularly important in the medical sector. What is the difference to an FFP2 mask? One surgical mask (like this one) primarily serves to protect the environment from droplets from the wearer (external protection). A type IIR mask also offers a certain degree of self-protection against splashes. A FFP2 mask is a particle-filtering respiratory protection mask and primarily serves to protect the wearer from fine aerosols from the ambient air (self-protection). It also fits closer to the face. How do I put on the mask correctly?Grasp the mask by the ear straps. The coloured side should be facing outwards and the nose clip facing upwards. Place the mask over your mouth and nose and place the straps around your ears. Then press the nose clip against your nose and pull the mask under your chin so that it is as close to your face as possible. How long can I wear a surgical mask?A surgical mask is a disposable product. It should be changed regularly, but at the latest when it is soaked through with breathing air, as this impairs the filter performance. If possible, do not touch the outside of the mask when removing it.

If both the C-line and the T-line appear (even if the T-line is only faintly visible), the result is positive. What should I do if I get a positive result?A positive result indicates a high probability of an acute SARS-CoV-2 infection. In this case, it is strongly recommended to contact a doctor, pharmacy or health department immediately to discuss the result, confirm it with a PCR test if necessary and coordinate the further currently valid measures (such as isolation). How reliable is the test result?Antigen rapid tests offer high reliability, especially in people with a high viral load (in the first few days after the onset of symptoms). The exact values for sensitivity and specificity can be found in the instructions for use. A negative result does not completely exclude infection, especially if you have symptoms or have recently had contact with an infected person. Can I use the test on children?Yes, but sample collection from children should always be performed or supervised by an adult.
