XCELL XP1.2-12 lead-acid battery with VdS approval - 12 V and 1.2 Ah
Description
Product information
The XCELL XP1.2-12 is a compact 12-volt AGM lead-acid battery with a nominal capacity of 1.2 Ah. It reliably supplies energy in safety-related devices and industrial applications, impresses with easy integration and defined charging parameters for standby and cyclic operation.
Highlights at a glance
- Compact and lightweight: 97 x 43 x 58 mm at approx. 0.54 kg
- VdS approved: G 114095 for safety applications
- Maintenance-free thanks to AGM technology and valve-regulated construction
- Clear charging windows: Float 13.60 to 13.80 V, Cycle 14.50 to 14.90 V
- Solid power reserve: up to 18 A discharge current for 5 seconds
Use and Performance
The XP1.2-12 is designed for alarm and security technology, emergency lighting, communication and measuring devices as well as small control units. The internal impedance of approx. 90 mΩ supports stable voltage supply, even during short load peaks. The permissible discharge range from −15 °C to +50 °C enables operation in different environments.
Efficiency and Service Life
In float operation, an expected service life of 3 to 5 years at 20 °C is envisaged. The self-discharge is low: at 25 °C approx. 91 percent capacity remains after 3 months, 82 percent after 6 months and 65 percent after 12 months of storage. This means the battery remains reliably available even after idle periods.
Installation and Charging Recommendations
The battery has T1 terminals for quick, secure installation. For standby operation, a charging voltage of 13.60 to 13.80 V at 25 °C with temperature compensation of −18 mV per °C is recommended. In cyclic operation, 14.50 to 14.90 V at 25 °C with −30 mV per °C compensation applies. The maximum charging current is 0.36 A.
