Why should I choose 6mm² instead of 4mm²?
For higher yield and future-proofing. Especially with cable lengths over 15-20 metres or with modules of high current (Isc above 13A), 6mm² significantly reduces voltage drop. This means that more energy reaches the inverter and the cable remains cooler under heavy load.
Can the cable be laid directly in the ground?
Only in conduit. Although the insulation is very robust, the cable is not designed for direct burial unprotected. However, laying in the ground in a suitable cable conduit is no problem.
Is the cable resistant to chemicals?
Yes. The XLPO insulation is resistant to acids, alkalis, and ammonia. This makes it especially suitable for installations in agriculture (barns) or in industrially affected areas.

FAQs about the Deye Sun 50K Hybrid inverterDo I need external NA protection from 50 kW?No. The inverter has an integrated anti-islanding circuit and fulfils all relevant standards such as VDE-AR-N 4105, EN 50549 and G99. Additional NA protection is therefore not required.Which high-voltage storage systems are approved?Officially compatible models include BYD HVS/HVM, Pylontech Force H1/H2, Dyness Tower and the Deye GB-L series. Communication takes place via CAN or RS485, depending on the model. The appropriate setup number is entered directly in the menu “Battery → Lithium → Setup Number” or set via DIP switches.
