The JA Solar JAM54D40 455/LB bifacial solar module is part of the Deep Blue 4.0 Pro series and has been developed for maximum energy yield, long service life and high efficiency. State-of-the-art n-type cell technology

The module is based on n-type Bycium++ cell technology with 16 busbars (MBB half-cell). This reduces the power loss caused by light-induced degradation (LID) and ensures better performance in low light conditions as well as a higher overall energy yield.

With a typical balcony system or a string with e.g. 10 amps, the voltage drop at 12 metres (4mm²) is about 1.5 to 2 volts. This corresponds to a loss of around 1-2%, which is absolutely within the acceptable range. Only in extreme low-light or very high current situations would a 6mm² cable be more advantageous.Can I also install the cable indoors?Yes, absolutely. The cables are designed for rugged outdoor use (UV/weather), but can also be safely used indoors, in cable ducts, or behind drywall. They are halogen-free and flame-retardant.Do the connectors fit every inverter?Usually, yes. Almost all modern PV modules and microinverters (e.g. Hoymiles, Deye, NEP) use the MC4 standard (or compatible types such as TS4). Additional NA protection is therefore not required.Which high-voltage storage systems are approved?Officially compatible models include BYD HVS/HVM, Pylontech Force H1/H2, Dyness Tower and the Deye GB-L series. Communication takes place via CAN or RS485, depending on the model. The appropriate setup number is entered directly in the menu “Battery → Lithium → Setup Number” or set via DIP switches. According to the provider, other storage solutions such as BOS-G are already preconfigured.How many kWp can I connect without clipping?According to the data sheet, the maximum DC input power is 65 000 W. The manufacturer even provides for up to 100 000 W PV access power, which results in a DC/AC ratio of 1.3. In practice, a generator size of 60 to 65 kWp is considered optimal.
