The Olight Javelot Pro 2 is the flagship among the so-called "Throwers" (long-range flashlights) by Olight. Unlike conventional torches that broadly illuminate the area in front of your feet, the Javelot Pro 2 focuses the light extremely intensely. The result is a concentrated light beam that cuts through the darkness like a "lightsaber" and achieves a range of over 1 kilometre. It is primarily designed for hunting, search and rescue operations (SAR) as well as for security services that need to identify objects at long distances.

- Gigantic range: Thanks to a high-performance LED and a deep reflector, it reaches a range of up to 1050 metres. Ideal for illuminating objects at extremely long distances.
- Enormous brightness: Delivers a maximum of 2500 lumens. That's a lot for a pure thrower, as long-distance torches often had fewer lumens to focus the beam.
- Dual-switch system: Features a tail switch (for tactical access: instant turbo or low) and a side switch (for comfortable mode selection in normal use).
- Smart indicators: Around the side switch, there are LED indicators, which show you the battery level on one side and the currently selected brightness level on the other side.

Thrower vs. Flooder
It is important to understand that this is not a torch for a leisurely walk or for reading in a tent. The light cone (hotspot) is very narrow and bright.

FAQs about the Olight Javelot Pro 2
Can I insert normal 21700 batteries?
No. The Javelot Pro 2 does not use an open battery compartment; the entire handle is the battery ("Battery Pack"). You can unscrew and replace the handle, but you cannot replace the individual cells inside. If the battery is empty, you need to charge the whole handle or have a spare handle with you.
What is the difference to the Javelot Turbo?
The Javelot Pro 2 is the more modern model.
- Brightness: Pro 2 has 2500 lumens (Turbo has 1300 lumens).
- Range: Both are similar (Pro 2: 1050m / Turbo: 1300m - the Turbo focuses a bit more with fewer lumens).
- Operation: The Pro 2 has the convenient side switch with LED indicator which the Turbo does not offer.
Does the torch get hot?
Yes, in turbo mode (2500 lumens) the head develops heat quickly. The torch therefore regulates itself down automatically after about 5 minutes (to 1000 lumens) to protect the LED and electronics. This is completely normal with high-performance torches.
Is a case included?
Yes, the Javelot Pro 2 is supplied in a very robust, water- and dustproof carrying case made of plastic, in which the torch, charging cable, and holster can be stored.Reviews 0
