FAQs about the Deye BOS-G 30 PRO high-voltage storage system
How do I charge individual BOS‑G modules manually?
Individual modules must not be charged directly on the inverter. This is only possible in a composite system. If you still wish to charge manually, approximately 57 V (LFP‑16S, 16 × 3.6 V) are permissible, the optimum is about 55 V, as hardly any additional capacity is stored above this. The modules have their own protection circuits (BMS), but no higher voltages may be applied.
Do I need a fireproof room (T60) to operate BOS‑G?
Yes, the EU manual explicitly states that the BOS‑G Pro may only be installed in fireproof rooms with fireproof windows and doors of type T60. From an insurance and safety perspective, this requirement should be strictly observed.
What capacity and cycle life does the BOS‑G 30 PRO offer?
The system is available in several variants. The 30 PRO delivers 30.72 kWh gross, of which approximately 27.65 kWh are usable (90 % DoD). The service life is ≥ 6000 cycles at 25 °C and 0.5 C charge/discharge up to 70 % DoD. The warranty period is 10 years.
What protection functions does the BMS offer?
The integrated BMS protects against overcharging, deep discharge, overcurrent, short circuit, over/under voltage and extreme temperatures. Current and cell voltage balancing is also provided.
What IP protection class does the system have?
The enclosure is rated IP20, so it is suitable only for dry indoor areas, and not for outdoor installation or damp environments.Scope of delivery Deye BOS-G30 PRO high-voltage storage set (30.72 kWh) with rack system:
