MAKCL12/3000
Tool battery f

This high quality NiMH replacement battery is the ideal power source for your trusted Makita 12 Volt power tools. It replaces the classic red block batteries (type 1220, 1222, 1234 etc.) which have been installed millions of times in cordless screwdrivers such as the legendary 6270D or 6271D. With 3,000 mAh (3.0 Ah) this battery offers almost twice the capacity of the original standard batteries (mostly 1.3 Ah NiCd), making it the perfect upgrade for long working sessions.Highlights at a glanceEnormous capacity (3.0 Ah): While old original batteries often delivered only 1.3 Ah or 2.0 Ah, here you get 3000 mAh. This means much longer running times when drilling and screwing, without having to constantly change the battery.100% compatible: Replaces all Makita block batteries with the designations 1220, 1222, 1233, 1234, 1235, 1235F as well as the newer designation PA12.Modern NiMH technology: Unlike the old NiCd batteries, these nickel-metal hydride cells do not suffer from the memory effect. You can recharge the battery at any time. It is also more environmentally friendly, as it does not contain any toxic cadmium.Perfect fit: Features the typical design of the Makita plug-in battery with lateral push-buttons for unlocking. It snaps securely and firmly into the handle of the machine.Rugged casing: Made of impact-resistant plastic to withstand the tough conditions on construction sites or in the workshop.Compatible machines (extract)This battery breathes new life into a variety of popular Makita tools:Drill drivers: 6270D, 6271D, 6227D, 6317D, 6319DImpact drill drivers: 8270D, 8271DImpact wrenches: 6980FDLamps: ML120, ML121 (Headlamp)Saws: 4331D (jigsaw) Features ModelReplacement battery for Makita 12V (type 1222 / 1234) Replaces Original No.1220, 1222, 1233, 1234, 1235, 192598-2, 192681-5, PA12 Chemistry**NiMH** (Nickel Metal Hydride) - Environmentally friendly upgrade Voltage12.0 V Capacity**3000 mAh (3.0 Ah)** - Maximum capacity for this housing DesignPod-Style / Block battery (With "tower" for the handle) Suitable for (extract)Makita 6270D, 6271D, 6227D, 6317D, 8270D, 8271D Charging noteUse original charger DC1414, DC1439, DC1804 (if NiMH-capable) LockingTwo side push buttons (clips) Housing colourMostly red or grey/black (depending on manufacturer) Weight (g)approx. 650 - 700 (Noticeable, but well balanced) FAQs about the Makita 12V NiMH batteryMy old battery was red (NiCd). Will this one (NiMH) fit?Yes, absolutely. Makita has kept the system over the years. Whether your old battery was red (NiCd) or black/grey (NiMH), it does not matter. The machine (e.g. 6271D) is compatible with both technologies. This battery is the more powerful upgrade. Can I continue to use my old charger? As a rule, yes. The common Makita chargers such as the DC1414, DC1804 or DC24SA charge both NiCd and NiMH batteries without any problems. Only with very old, simple plug-in power supplies you should be careful. If the charger has an LED indicator, it is almost always compatible. Will the battery fit in the new 10.8V / 12V max CXT devices? No. The new Makita 12V devices (CXT series) use slide-in batteries. This one here is a "thick block" that is inserted into the handle. The systems are not compatible. What does "PA12" mean?PA12 is simply the newer designation from Makita for exactly this battery type (1220/1222). If your device says "Use PA12 Battery", this is exactly the right battery.

MAKST7.2/2000

This NiMH replacement battery is the classic "stick battery" for the legendary Makita 7.2 Volt battery-powered screwdrivers and drills of the first generations. It replaces the original black battery rods (Type 7000, 7002, 7033), which disappear completely into the handle of the machine. Thanks to modern nickel metal hydride technology and a capacity of 2,000 mAh (2.0 Ah) you can breathe new life into your often decades-old, indestructible Makita tools – with significantly more endurance than the original NiCd batteries (mostly 1.3 Ah).Highlights at a glanceClassic stick shape: The battery is in the form of a cylinder (stick) that is inserted completely into the handle of the machine. It fits perfectly into the holder of the old 7.2V devices.Performance upgrade (2.0 Ah): With 2,000 mAh this battery offers almost 50% to 60% more running time than the old standard batteries. That means: You can screw for longer before the battery needs to be replaced.Comprehensive replacement: Replaces Makita original numbers 7000, 7001, 7002, 7033 as well as 191679-9 and 632002-4.Modern NiMH technology: No more memory effect! You can charge this battery at any time, even if it is not completely empty. It is also more environmentally friendly because it contains no toxic cadmium.Durability: High-quality branded cells ensure high cycle resistance and stable voltage level, even with older machine motors.Compatible machines (excerpt)This battery fits a variety of Makita classics (often 20-30 years old):Cordless screwdrivers: 6010D, 6010DL, 6010DW, 6012D, 6012DL, 6012DW, 6015D, 6016D, 6017D, 6018D, 6019D, 6022D, 6071D, 6072D, 6073D, 6075DAngle drills: DA3000D, DA3000DWJigsaws: 4307DSanders: 9035DLamps: ML700, ML701, ML702Hedge trimmers: UH3000D, UM1000D, UM1200D Features ModelReplacement battery for Makita 7.2V (stick battery / stick type) Replaces original no.191679-9, 632002-4, 632003-2, 7000, 7001, 7002 Chemistry**NiMH** (Nickel metal hydride) – Powerful upgrade Voltage7.2 V Capacity**2000 mAh (2.0 Ah)** – Huge increase over original (1.3 Ah) DesignStick battery (elongated, fully inserted) Suitable for (excerpt)Makita 6010D, 6012D, 6071D, DA3000D (angle drill), ML700 (lamp) Charging informationCompatible with chargers like DC7100, DC7015, DC1414, DC1804 ConnectionsContacts at the top end (plus/minus) and on the sides Weight (g)approx. 300 - 350 (Very light and compact) FAQs about the Makita 7.2V stick batteryMy old battery was a NiCd (type 7000). Will this NiMH fit?Yes. The form is identical. The voltage (7.2V) is identical. Your machine benefits from better technology (no memory effect) and higher capacity. Can I use my old charger (DC7100 / DC7020)?Most of the time, yes. The old Makita chargers for these sticks are very robust. As they often work with low charge currents, they also charge NiMH batteries. Note: As the new battery has 2.0 Ah (instead of 1.3 Ah), charging takes accordingly longer (allow approximately 50% more time). If the battery becomes very hot, remove it from the charger. Is there also a 7.2V block battery?Yes, possibility of confusion! There are also 7.2V batteries from Makita that hang like a block underneath the handle (similar to the 9.6V batteries). This one is the stick that fits in the handle. Please take a close look at your old battery: is it a long tube (stick) or a block with a tower (block)? This item is the stick.

The difference lies in the density of the chemistry inside. It fits just as well into the handle as your old 1.2 Ah battery.Does charging take longer?Yes, significantly.Since the "tank" (3.0 Ah) is more than twice as large as before (1.2 Ah), your old charger also takes more than twice as long to fully charge it. Example: If your old charger took 1 hour for the original battery, it will take approx. 2.5 hours for this battery. My original charger gets very warm. Is that normal? With batteries this size, yes.The old Makita chargers (e.g. DC7020) are simple designs. Due to the long charging time at 3.0 Ah, they can become warmer than before. Make sure that the charger is free-standing and ventilated. Remove the battery as soon as it is warm (a sign for "Full" with NiMH).
