Yuasa Lead-acid battery with 6V and 1.2Ah - NP1.2-6
Description
Product information
The Yuasa NP1.2-6 is a particularly compact, valve-regulated lead-acid battery (VRLA) with 6 volts and 1.1 Ah capacity. It is ideal for devices with low energy requirements where a constant, reliable power supply is needed, for example in safety and measuring systems. The battery is maintenance-free, robust and designed for a long service life.
Highlights at a glance
- Compact capacity: 1.1 Ah at 6 V – ideal for energy-saving systems.
- Minimal space requirement: Only 97 × 25 × 54.5 mm – fits into the smallest installation spaces.
- Flexible installation: Operation possible in all positions, except permanently upside down.
- Maintenance-free: VRLA technology with integrated low-pressure exhaust valves.
- Long-lasting: EUROBAT class “Standard Commercial” – up to 5 years in use.
- Safe design: Robust ABS housing, optionally flame-retardant.
Small battery, great reliability
With its capacity of 1.1 Ah at a 10-hour discharge up to 1.8 V/cell (at 20 °C), the NP1.2-6 provides a stable power supply for applications with low current requirements. The high discharge current of up to 36 A for 1 second also makes the battery suitable for short-term power peaks.
Robust technology with a long service life
The NP1.2-6 is maintenance-free and designed for durability. It complies with the EUROBAT classification “Standard Commercial” with a service life of up to 5 years at 20 °C. The low self-discharge rate of approx. 3 % per month guarantees high operational readiness, even with longer storage.
The housing is made of impact-resistant ABS (UL94:HB), with an optionally available flame-retardant version to UL94:V0. The battery also meets the requirements of ISO 9001.
Easy integration and safe handling
Thanks to its compact dimensions, the NP1.2-6 can be flexibly integrated into existing systems. Installation is possible in almost any position as long as it is not operated permanently upside down. The Faston plug connections (4.75 mm) enable quick and secure connection.
Each cell has a low-pressure exhaust valve that opens when necessary and then automatically closes again for safe, low-maintenance operation. For floating charge there is no limit to the charging current, for cyclic operation the recommended limit is 0.3 A.

FAQs about the Yuasa lead-acid battery with 6V and 1.1Ah
Can the battery be installed flexibly?
Yes, it can be used in all positions, with the exception of a permanently upside-down mounted position.
What is the NP 1.2-6 suitable for?
The Yuasa NP 1.2/6 is a maintenance-free 6 V / 1.2 Ah VRLA lead-acid battery with AGM technology (cross-linked glass fibre mat), which has been specially developed for standby applications such as UPS systems, alarm technology, emergency lighting or telecommunications. The design is leak-proof and long-lasting.
How long does the lead-acid battery last and how many charging cycles are possible?
The battery has a design life of 3 to 5 years in float or standby operation (EUROBAT class “Standard Commercial”). Over 1,000 charge cycles are possible in cyclic use (depending on depth of discharge and operating conditions).
How high is the self-discharge rate and what should be considered during storage?
- Monthly self-discharge: approx. 3 % at 20 °C
- Storage capability: can be stored for up to 12 months at room temperature (if regularly recharged)
- Recommended storage range: –20 °C to +60 °C (fully charged)
How high are the load capacity and short-circuit resistance?
- Maximum discharge current (1 second): 36 A
- 1-minute current: approx. 12 A
- Internal impedance: approx. 60 mΩ at 1 kHz
- Good recovery even after deep discharge thanks to lead-calcium grid
